OU at Iowa State

Thought maybe because I am not hearing or seeing there was a reason. The thing is if she is on we need to keep her in, not only for this game, but down the stretch. She needs to play her way back.

I agree with you completely!

Turnovers and bad shots, I think, Women.

Oh, just going by stats and it doesn't show any turnovers and she is 2 for 3.....but don't know if they are correct but don't show everything.

Someone needs to start shooting. I bet you Iowa State keeps someone on peyton second half.

We need to pound the ball inside. Kaylon is quicker than their center.

Gioya scored 5 pretty quick points and then replaced by Nicole. Any idea why? Can't hear nor see game.

I was really perplexed by Sherri's mass substitution just ahead of the Iowa State surge. Why did she DO that? We had momentum, we were in the flow of the game, and Sherri ran in the whole second string!

I don't think that it was a coincidence that that was the beginning of the turnaround...

And it isn't helping that Iowa State is absolutely killing us on the boards, either.

Gioya made cross court pass that resulted in turnovers, regardless of what the stats say. But, I think she was pulled when she threw a really lazy pass from the sideline that was knocked out of bounds. I think we got it, but it could have easily been an interception.

We didn't defend well in the first half. It is that simple. We hit essentially the same percentage of threes that they did. But, they also hit twos. They got second shots. We are down in rebounds, 21-9. They keep getting second shots. I'm not sure we had one.

There is a 7-2 foul disparity, but I don't know that it means anything unless it has something to do with why they are getting rebounds. I just don't see us blocking out or making much effort.

Flat.

We took out all of our scorers at the same time. I think we had Maddie, T'Ona, LaNesia, Derica, and McKenna, and T'Ona lost it a couple of times. Our gun was empty.

Maddie needs to put on a show in front of her friends and family.

Yes, I agree - Sherri may have been trying to steal a few minutes while we were ahead, but she stayed with that group a bit long and we lost all momentum.
Hopefully, the second half features us protecting the defensive glass and playing in the paint offensively. Can't win - especially on the road against a quality team - with poor board work and no inside game.

When you're being out hustled and are a step late it's easy to pick up fouls. Not sure about them only having one in the first 19 minutes.

I would probably run some players into the ground but I would virtually never take a player out who was hot.

Gotta do a better job on Williamson. If she's the league's best 3-point shooter, then we need to have someone in her face at all times.
We were better off in the first game when Moody did all the scoring and the rest were shut down/limited.

I hope we get this type of play out of our system by the time boost season gets here. Sherri needs to remind them it's crunch time. Play better get a better seed, better chance the will win.

Yeah, the 'clones are hot from BTA, but I think that Sherri gave them a jump start with some questionable substitutions early.
