Oklahoma: Speaking of quietly impressive NCAA tournament résumés, how about the Oklahoma Sooners? Lon Kruger's team has a top-20 RPI, a top-five SOS and a top-10 nonconference mark. How is this possible? Oklahoma wisely limited the number of truly bad RPI teams it played in November and December, helping put most of its nonconference successes in the top-100 field (even if those teams -- UTEP, West Virginia, Northwestern State, Texas A&M, etc. -- stack up to far less than the sum of their individual RPIs). Anyway, if a second win over Baylor on Saturday (90-76 in Norman) doesn't totally lock the Sooners into the tournament, let's just say it's close. What a job Kruger has done.

As long as we don't collapse we should be dancing. I hope we are playing for seeding by Big 12 tournament time.

2-2 locks us in at 11-7 in conference, as long as those losses aren't embarrassing losses to TCU or UT. 3-1 puts us in a seeding discussion...4-0 should catapult us seeding-wise, especially if we put up a good fight in the Big 12 tourney.

I think we'll get extra points for playing well after Buddy went out with injury.

Not complaining at all. I'd take anything given. But it would be nice to get in as a 7, 6, or 5 vice that 9 Lunardi has us at.

10 is better than 9.

I agree 100%. Do anything (except lose) to avoid the dreaded 8/9 game. If we can if finish up 3-1 and win at least one game in the B12 tournament, I think we have a shot at a 7 seed. We certainly need teams, in most projections, that are currently projected just above us (Illinois, Mizzou, VCU, Wichita St., Minnesota, Cincinnati, San Diego St., Oregon) to lose as often as possible. That combined with a strong finish should give us what we need to get a 7....even possibly a 6.

I understand the cautious approach, but this is an NCAA tournament. We're playing for a higher seed at this point.

Eamonn Brennan has been a huge proponent for OU over the last few weeks.

I sure enjoy talking about Tournament seeding instead of end of season doom and gloom. If I am totally off on our seed at least I get to watch us in the tournament even if its for one game. Future looks so much better. Thank You Lon Kruger!!!!
