I'm curious if anyone knows off-hand what the best year combined for OU sports was in history (football, baseball, men's basketball and women's basketball)?

I know Texas had 123 wins in those four sports in 2003-04 (58 in baseball, 10 in football, 29 in WBB, 26 in MBB).

Did OU have a better season all around?

Full disclosure: Baylor has 115 wins this year in those four sports and their baseball team will probably rack up some more before the year is done. I'm curious how it compares to some of the great Texas and OU years.

looks like 1984-85 with 117 wins with just a quick glance?

9-2-1 for football
55-14 for baseball
23-7 WBB
31-6 MBB

OU's 2002 year was pretty special, I believe OU played for the men's football and basketball championship in 88 too.

I know its only 109 wins, but 2002 was a pretty nice year for OU.

MBB - 31 (Nat'l Semi)
WBB - 31 (Nat'l Final)
Football - 12 (Rose Bowl Champs)
Baseball - 35

I understand Baylor is having a GREAT year, but 40-0 (in women's bball) sure helps your win total.

And we've had the years in MBB, WBB, and Football, but baseball can't seem to put together a great year when the other three do. Throw a 55-58 win baseball season on the end of 2002 and 129-132 wins looks pretty impressive.

No softball?

:D you could go crazy trying to find info on that. I would imagine Stanford and Texas have impressive results across all sports that would be hard for other schools to match.

Obviously football is most important from a perception standpoint. And men's basketball after that. Probably debatable on baseball versus women's basketball. You would think baseball at first glance but at places like Oklahoma and Baylor, the women outdraw the baseball team on average by a wide margin- over 5,000 per game.

I'd say the 1950-51 school year. OU won National Championships in Football, Wrestling, and Baseball.

another great OU season that I missed:

2008-2009:

Football: 12-2 (National Championship Game)
MBB: 30-6 (Elite 8)
WBB: 32-5 (Final 4)
Baseball: 43-20

Total wins: 117

Baylor should join OU as the only BCS team to win 10 in football; at least 30 in men's and women's basketball and 40 in baseball (barring a complete collapse).

More games played these days except in baseball.

USC and ASU used to have nearly 80 wins a season in baseball alone.

During my time I have to believe 88 when football and basketball played for the championship and we were good in baseball. IMO women's sports don't really matter. Although my logic(not written) would dictate that baseball also shouldn't count. By the way in 3 months I have a daughter playing in college.
