**********OU-Idaho Game Thread**********

The team is very low on energy tonight. Hopefully they get a spark before long. This one's hard to watch so far.

Playing really timid on def better this way early and more physical later!

Lead at the half should be at least double what it is. Defense improved as the game wore on, but the better players for Idaho were watching the game from the bench. Idaho had 0 turnovers then got caught up in a turnover frenzy and this is where the Sooners should have handily extended the lead. Buddy Hield is playing more like Buddy Yield. Spangler is playing well again and Neal playing some solid minutes. Woodard being asked to rewarm his seat less than three minutes into the game, not a good thing, although he had the company of another player.

Tyler Neal is is much more comfortable this year. It is great to see him stepping up. :neal

Defense has been above par for the last 20 mins!

Booker is having a freshman game. Like what we've seen from Tyler so far.

Buddy heatin up...

Cousins has played well... Really like him as a wing and good shooter.

It is good to get some of our deep bench guys some playing time. CJ Cole seems to need some game time to shake the rust off.

Haven't been able to watch the entire game, but have seen a decent amount. I really like Buddy's fire. After we stopped them on defense for a shot clock violation, he was all fired up and excited. Also, this team seems to have more hustle than we've had in the past few years. I like it.

I thought Renzi got it right. The final score will look like OU just blew Idaho away. But, we didn't really play well. Idaho came out fired up, and we began rather flat. We had little hustle in the first ten minutes of the game. We began to play defense, and we built a quick lead. But, we also let them get inside at will.

I think we knew we were better and came in uninspired. You can have games like this against the Idahos of the world. Next week, we will probably need to remember to play well. It wouldn't hurt if we made the front end of some one-and-ones.

Glad that Tyler Neal showed up. Some didn't.

I really liked how the defense played after a horrific first 8-10 minutes. I also like how Cousins, Spangler, Neal and Cam all shot the ball. Buddy is going to be streaky, but when he's on, look out! As for Frank Booker, I can't possibly imagine him playing a worse game than he did tonight, so I'm glad that's out of the way. We have a lot of work to do to prepare for Seton Hall and hopefully, Michigan State, but this team will continue to improve.
