Could get better. The lineup we had for a couple minutes with all freshmen for 3 or 4 possessions basically did nothing. But our 3 guards+Spangler are all great. Defense especially with the starting 5 is really cohesive. If Manyang shows some of what he's doing tonight against better competition, this is going to be a scary good team. Incarnate Word is not a good team to say the least.

Anyone else think AK starts by Big 12 play?

He never really played a lot of minutes at his previous school so he has a lot of work to do to get in game shape and be able to play substantial stretches thus he will likely switch off with Lattin on a routine basis.

I think we're watching our starting center. Of course, this team is tiny.

Agreed. AK had a great half for a player who has not been able to play or practice much the past few weeks. If he can play like this against bigger, tougher competition, it may be impossible to keep him out of the starting lineup.

9 points, 2 rebs and 2 blocks, not to mention the shots he changed, is an efficient half of basketball.

Newbies did a lot better when we put a couple of starters in with them. that is a more normal sub pattern. After the first 6 or 7 minutes go to a mix of starters and bench guys and then finish the half with starters.
