************OU-Kansas Game Thread************

osby was completely vertical there.... less of a bump then hield had on his no-call i ****ing hate kansas

Tough loss, but we did not quit. Gotta get ready for Baylor. Any road win will be huge for this team.

I liked how we played until the defense worn down in the second half and KU started to get open shots.

Most I ever saw Kruger get after the ref. They missed a foul on Hield's breakaway and he was clearly fouled on a made shot.

And every time Kansas drove the middle in control or out the foul was on us.

Didn't cost us the game but irritating. We lost because we missed open shots and they hit them.

Yeah he was awful today. These are the type of games he has to be great or we can't win.

Osby scored 29 against Texas because he was punking a freshman defender. It was a different deal today. I'm thinking he did about all he could do considering what he was up against.

Guys, we can win this game in Norman

I said before today's game that is possible and I still think it is possible. Won't be easy and we will need to hit a much higher percentage. Withey definitely affected our offense on the inside. Outside shots will need to be falling.

Would be nice but that is probably unlikely

Ro had an off game, outside shots weren't falling, etc.. There are a couple things that have to happen to pull the win off, but it won't be unrealistic. You take a couple of plays in this game (turnovers and missed shots in the paint) and this is a much closer game. If OU somehow can get Withey in foul trouble, than it will be a whole new ball game.

No it wasn't. Just stop with the blaming of the officials. It's so lame and over played

You don't know me. I am rarely critical of the officials. A matter of fact, I was telling my friend, a KU fan, while watching the game that some on here said it is impossible to get a fairly officiated game in Lawrence. I told him I never really noticed. As we were watching the game, he (not me) pointed out several wrong calls on out of bounds plays, two missed CLEAR travelling violations, several no calls on fouls in the first half. If you think it was a fair officiated game (more in the first half than the second), than you are mistaken.

With that said, you can't win if you can't make shots. I never said it impacted the game or that OU would have won if the officiating was more evenly balanced. So get your facts straight before you bash another poster.

And calling it the worst officiated game was an exaggeration. But it definitely wasn't evenly called.

I have seen worse officiated games. Almost every womens game. But it could not have been good to see Kruger go off on the ref like he did.

Let's face it. The home team with a big racous crowd gets the advantage. It is just human nature not to want to be hated.

That said, Kruger hit it on the head. He said we played good defense but never really got into our offense.

We have better shooters than what showed up there. Our new guys still rush shots and do not get their shots off with a good rhythm. They still are catching up with the speed of the game.

Kansas has very good defensive guards and like the Baylor women they have that big aircraft carrier (An Al McGwire term) back there to clean up their mistakes. Actually we handled their guard pressure better than the last team I saw play Kansas.

This was a game where we didn't have the big guy to neutralize Withey.

I certainly didn't think it was a spectacularly officiated game, but it wasn't the worse I've ever seen either. I thought it was somewhat balanced considering it was in Larryville. I guess I'm just used to us getting screwed by the officials that a few bad or horrible calls, don't sway me too much. :woot
