OU makes Julius Randle's top 10

If, Randle does decide to sign in the spring, like he is maintaining right now.
IF, Kruger can get OU into the top 25 for a stretch this year and be very competitive
with KU, Baylor, Texas. Wins in Norman over couple of them.
IF, Kruger can get OU into the tourney and make a nice run.
And it's obvious the young guards and M'Baye have a high ceiling for next season.
Randle might visit OU.
Should OU worry about his recruiting, nope.
Go get Damian Jones and or Dominic Woodson. Get those two athletic bigs OU needs.
Can always find a spot for Randle.

Looking for a positive here, I'd much rather be in Randle's top ten than on the outside looking in and wishing he had given OU a better chance. Does that mean he'll pick the Sooners in the end? Not likely. But the fact that we're still in it can't possibly be a bad thing for our reputation on a national scale.

This seems to be how coach Kruger is recruiting. Offer the guys you feel are talented enough to play for your team and except the ones who want to commit but don't wait on those you hope you can get.

Agreed. I like that a lot better than hanging on to pipe dreams that never materialize, while missing out on kids who could have contributed to the program's success. We saw way too much of that before Kruger's arrival.

"The people around me have made things easy," he said. "They've always had my back. If there's a time I don't want to talk they let people know."
In fact, Randle has leaned just as heavily on Webster -- a star player at Oklahoma in the 1990s -- off the floor as he has on it.
"Jeff's been tremendous for me," Randle said. "I started working with him in the fifth grade when I first started playing with the Texas Titans. He told me then that he would always have my best interest at heart and I was sold on him.
"When you have somebody who has been through the process it's easier to go to them and talk to them. He's like family to me now, like a big brother or the male figure in my life."

I think Randle would sign at OU If Capel were still here....But I am glad that Capel is not at OU.
Maybe LK can pull off a miracle. Here's hoping that Webster is pimping OU but it says a lot about Webster to help a kid find the right it for his college career.

I'm really not sure how much Webster would pimp OU. He hasn't come up for either one of the reunions.
