OU-Missouri Box Score [SoonerSports.com]

Re: OU-Missouri Box Score

One of the ugliest boxscores that I've ever seen in a conference game...

Re: OU-Missouri Box Score

Wow. The stat that surprises me is that we were out-rebounded by 20 and only had 8 turnovers at mizzou and get beat like that.

That was painful. The lone "positive" I can come up with is that even if we had played a perfect game, we weren't going to win at Mizzou. Hopefully we save our good road performances for games we could possibly win, like @ OSU and @ ATM.

Also, those guards ran complete circles around us, but they're also the best group of guards in the conference by a wide margin, and possibly the best group in the country. We aren't going to face anything like that against other teams.

Re: OU-Missouri Box Score

Can't get rebounds when they don't miss

No question it is difficult to get defensive rebounds when you shoot like Mizzou did tonight (23 opportunities). However OU's strength has not been defensive rebounding (7th in B12) this year it has been offensive rebounding (1st in B12).

With OU shooting poorly (18/54) their were ample offensive board opportunities (37) but OU could manage only 7. When you are 2" taller to the man you should be doing better at getting second shot opportunities. Effort was what was missing on the boards for the Sooners.

Thank you! I was not even going to respond to the rebounding thing. I did not think it would be understood. Still might not.
