How would you rate Manek on the defensive end? At times he looked easy to get a shot off against and was just not a fierce defender.

Creighton is up next. They have scored a lot of points this year even in some of their losses. That will be a real test for this defense.

That bienemy crossover was filthy but he’s gotta make the layup. I loved the way calixte attacked the press and created some easy baskets. This group plays good team basketball. They defend and rebound well and that will win a lot of games.

USC obviously is struggling and is dealing with a ton of injuries, but still a nice win. The free throw shooting wasn't good tonight, but the trend that we really need to reverse is the turnover problem. Way too many early in games, and tonight we also had some very careless possessions late. If we get that cleaned up, we'll be that much better. Lon pulled Calixte late after two sloppy possessions in a row, and JB came in and was very solid.
