OU/USC game

Really, Andy? OU played one of their worst games of the season and still beat your team by 11.

He basically said USC would win if they only could have made shots. Lol.

I live in the OKC area, but I think these games in TULSA are a great idea. Here are some articles from the Tulsa World.

Oklahoma's pursuit for strong presence in Tulsa

Castiglione said it’s important for Oklahoma to maintain a strong presence in Tulsa for all sports, including football.

“It’s been one of our goals, and we’ve talked about it quite often,” Castiglione said. “Some years we’ve been able to achieve it with the University of Tulsa or Oral Roberts, but this is a little unique with a neutral-site game (at the BOK Center).

“We actually set this up a couple of years ago. Now it’s started some conversations on how we can do it again.”

What did Miles Reynolds think about the energetic atmosphere in downtown Tulsa?

“It was huge. I didn’t know what to expect coming in,” said Reynolds, who scored a season-high 20 points. “It’s my first time in Tulsa. We need to play in Tulsa a little more often.”

My thoughts exactly. I thought USC played a very spirited, hard-fought game. After what they did against TCU, I would have though their coach would have at least been encouraged by how hard his team fought. Our Sooners were up & down with their intensity all game long...and when they were down, USC kept making runs at them. I can't imagine any of us were pleased that we were up 18 with 8+ minutes left, and an undermanned USC team got it to a three-possession game with close to three minutes left.

I didn't think either team looked very good, take the win and move on...get better.

Very ragged up and down game.

Next two games will be challenging. We will have to play better.

I dont put too much into these games in terms of execution. The early t.o.'s have become a habit they need to break though. But games at this time of year occur completely contrary to our normal routines of practice and gameday etc... due to altered schedules while adjusting around finals et al. You already have your normal routine established and it messes with you a bit when it's changed.
