Sooners lead 21-18 at the half.

OU just has 6 players again — 1 jr, 2 sophs, and 3 freshmen. I respect these 6 girls. They are playing hard. But good lord almighty this might just be the ugliest basketball game I’ve ever watched.

OU has 8 turnovers (which actually isn’t that bad for us, lol) but just 6 made baskets.

okay the fact that we have more torn overs than we have shots made against Texas state does not bode well for the rest of the season, even if you include our three 'starters,' which I sure hope and pray we have for Tuesday against osu, otherwise that will be NASTY.

If we cannot win this game today IMO we have a serious chance of being 0-8 by the new year . If that were the case would JC step in and fire SC? Probably not because she'd have all sorts of covid excuses lined up. We just are not disciplined, and it's not because we have some young players, our older players are making the same errors. I'm just so darn mad at SC for letting the state of our program deteriorate so much, shame on her! OU wbb used to be something I looked forward to watching and she's taken that joy away from me, and I imagine many of the rest of you. If we cannot win 10 games this season and SC is not terminated afterwards I think I will just stop following this program, it's just too frustrating.

It's 4:33 and there have been no posts to congratulate the girls on winning a game with 6 players, only two of them being regular starters. Even if you hate the coaching staff, you would think someone would have something encouraging to say about these girls. The fact that the game has been over for 45 minutes and no one even had even one good word for these kids tell you all you need to know about this board.

I do believe there are others besides you and me who are proud of those six young ladies for what they accomplished yesterday. However, most Sooner fans have abandoned this board exactly because of what you pointed out in your post. I seldom visit or post on the board anymore.

The girls definitely need to be given a compliment for winning the game under their conditions. But were Sherri doing the job she was hired to do those conditions would not exist and OU would have named the margin of victory be it 25 or 40 points.

When you have seen the Sooners' victories trending down annually for over a decade the fans become so distraught they lose sight of their need to provide support where support is needed. Sherri has made her bed. Unfortunately all the Sooner fans are also going to have to sleep in for what seems to be perpetuity as it has become obvious Joe C. is not going to remake the bed.

I'm happy for how the girls came together yesterday, and posted as much on the other board. I'm concerned about how we can play 6 against Oklahoma State tomorrow and keep it close. I feel bad for the 6 that have taken the precautions needed in order to play, and very disappointed in the 3 VETERANS that didn't, and have therefore had to sit out pivotal games. Had we had the 3 against Kansas, I'm confident that would have been a victory, one of the few I actually predicted we would have this season. With the numbers concern, opt outs and Ana sitting out with injury, I only predict we win 7 games this season, which is not fun for me to say. I hope I'm way off here. But SC has indeed made this bed. Let's just hope our freshman, which have impressed me, tough it out and return next season, which I predict to the best season we'll have had in 4 years! (fingers crossed anyway)

These 6 girls might turn out to be better players. One thing is for sure. They all are going to be in shape. I don't think he can pull the plug on Coale. 6 players, I do believe with a full roster they would have beaten Kansas. I am interested to see the OSU game. Win or lose these girls have tremendous heart. They might surprise people. These are valuable minutes of playing time. It strengthens OU's depth.

I agree. This couldn't have happened to a better group of gals. I'd prefer Madi were one of the 6 we still had right now, but perhaps watching these young gals fight tooth and nail during these games will re-motivate the juniors that are sitting out to come back and give it their all. I REALLY hope we can pull out this game tonight, but i think we will run out of steam in the final minutes :-(

Does anyone know when we will have these 3 girls back?? Will they be available for South Dakota? (not that it'll matter)

If those 3 are merely out for contact tracing purposes (and they are not positive), which I think is the case.... they should be back for South Dakota. That would be more than 10 days away from the Kansas game, which was the first game they missed, and they would've already started quarantining by that point.

And MsProud is right. I should've come back after the game to congratulate the Sooner Six for clawing their way to a victory, and I wish there was more chatter on this board beyond "FIRE SC!!!!".

I am particularly proud of Gabby Gregory for stepping up and putting this team on her back. She has displayed a lot of grit, savviness and leadership in the last week, which is no small accomplishment.

*sigh* I just wish this program weren't at the point where us diehard fans are excited about a hard-fought victory at home against Texas State.

I agree, Gregory has been a stud this season, her and Madi have been. And I'm definitely liking what I see in Tot and Vann. I hope Greer develops, but i'm not confident she will with our history with centers. I hope CP3 is worth her salary! Is anyone else disappointed in how little TRob has impacted the games thus far? It seems she's checked out and not fully engaged to me. Am I the only one noticing this? If we want to beat zero state tonight we desperately need her. Fingers crossed we pull this one off!

It was a great effort by the 6!!! I enjoyed watching it with my daughter who is home from college for the holidays. We don't get to watch many games together anymore, so we certainly enjoyed the game, and applauded the effort. Very proud of those young ladies....
