OU-Wofford Box Score

I think when Freeman is hot like today he gets those 10-15 minutes and Odomes may get short end of stick. Offense seems balanced based on box score (Couldn't watch). 7 different guys attempted at least 5 shots and 6 had at least 6 attempts.

Freeman had a good game. He looked comfortable taking and making his shots from three. He’s capable of making a nice percentage when he’s open and he shoots in rhythm.

He also had a couple of nice assists.

Another big game by Polla, three minutes only one turnover and one foul. All you guys that said last year he would contribute this year are right.

And somehow his contribution was still greater than yours.

Lots of good stuff to talk about after a good win. It says a lot that the only thing you have to say is to troll Polla.

Way too early to make much of this team, but I'm curious about what others "see" in the team.

To me, Odomes and Jamuni are playing their way out of significant playing time. Sometimes their defense leaves me shaking my head and neither have showed up on the offensive end.

Reynolds had a nice game today.....can take it to the hole and finish. Had a bad call against him or would have had three more points. Sometimes plays a little selfish, but if he can deliver, what can you say??? And he will be in at the end of games....hits his free throws.

Freeman will get meaningful minutes if he can hit the three.

Bieniemy will get more minutes as the season goes on.....

Odomes can play D, but we have over recruited him. He will have spots where we need him, but hes not going to get the minutes he got the last couple of years. Muni needs to get better or we will be playing small ball a lot more.

Totally agree on all. You and oulad are spot on

Jamuni will play better, won't he? He's better than this.

And Bieniemy is better than I thought he'd be this soon. He'll habe games where he looks like a freshman but the good thing is that with our depth, Kruger can bring in someone else when he does.

Odomes is going to have to fund his role. Maybe he's found it -- defense, a little rebounding, drives, some rebounding, 12-15 minutes unless he's really hot. My guess is that he has a couple of games that make us wonder why he never turned into a star but he's mostly a depth guy.

I thought long and hard about what Myles was doing and I actually don't see it as selfish. It's like Nolan Johnson useta do - he'd say "for the next few minutes y'all need not worry about what we're doing offensively. I got this." and we'd iso and focus on defense and rebounding. I think it's more a strength than selfishness.

Plus Myles is an excellent teammate to everyone and well liked so I dont think he's ruffling any feathers doing that. It takes a little pressure off the others.

I agree with Muni but Odomes played good defense. Muni & Freeman were the only bad defenders but at least Freeman tries and looked good offensively. Really liked what I saw defensively & offense will get better when Kruger nails down the rotation. OU looks a lot better playing small ball as of now. All the newcomers look good.

I was shocked Freeman's shots were falling. I had completely given up on him being a good shooter after believing for 2 years. If he can hit a few open shots when the games get tougher that will be huge

I didn't see Reynolds taking the game over offensively as selfish at all. It was great. He seized a stagnant OU offense and put it on his shoulders for about 5 minutes. I love the Nolan Johnson reference. I have made it before and totally agree he could be a guy like this. He did turn down a fairly open three and then could have forced a drive during the midst of that run, but passed it back to Calixte and it ended up as a Manek 3.

I don't know maybe I'm the only one around here that doesn't love Reynolds game on the offensive end. To me, he forces it and never looks comfortable. Maybe he's just an odd athlete. I don't know if he can consistently hit the outside shot as well. I do like his energy and defensive effort! I just think Calixte is way better at this point from what I've seen.

I like what Calixte and Reynolds bring to the team. I said all along they were better than some seem to think, but to be honest I would rather see Muni and Odomes as our third and fourth leading scorers. I’m sure that will change as we get into the tougher portion of our schedule. In the meantime, I plan to enjoy our success so far regardless of the source.

Free throws are a huge part of his offensive game -- both in the number of fouls he draws from the opposing team and the percentage he hits from the charity stripe. And not only will we be directly helped by the points he scores at the line, he'll get us into the bonus more quickly (which was a key factor in yesterday's win).

I dont understand why this is a big deal. He gave our offense a little backbone in the second half and it was a HUGE benefit to the teams' performance.
