Ou-wvu

WV was tied for second in the Big Twelve. We didn't have one of our sophomores (may not have), and we won on their floor with mostly four freshmen and two sophomores. We did use Odimgbe, Penzo, and Veitenheimer a little.

If it weren’t for Ana...let’s hope she stays healthy for the rest of the season because we would be terrible without her.

That was nice to see. Good for them.

Our chances are extremely slim, very slim and none.

This shows how much I know. I need to make these predictions more often. :o

It was a nice win against a decent team on the road. I look forward, albeit with some trepidation, to the poke game Monday night. Go Sooners!

Given recent performances, you can hardly be blamed for expecting the normal.😎😉

If your starting rotation is three freshmen and two sophomores with key reserves being two freshmen, you aren't sure what you will get.

We had the same situation today that we had against UConn, double digit lead late in the game. WV isn't UConn. Maybe we have gained a little poise.

If we had had Ana all year, how many wins do you think we might have had. With Ana now a leading scoring threat, WV left Taylor open. Taylor had her best conference game. Jessi is coming around. Did we just need a consistent leader? We still have five freshmen and two sophomores in our key roles, and we beat one of the three teams tied for second in the conference on their court. Something changed, at least for a day.

It certainly can be a confidence builder. Good team. Always tough for us to win there. Played better than we have 95 percent of the season.

I believe Jess played almost every minute.

Lampkin gave us great minutes.

Ana, well, she was great again.

It will be interesting to see if this level of good play, concentration and effort will continue.

They should beat OSU if they play like they did today.

Excellent win. Fluke or not, I know it had to have felt good for the women.

Really nice showing yesterday. Good road win. Happy for our players!

The important thing is to build off of the win and not let it be an anomaly. The schedule aligns having pukeville and TCU at home the next two games and then on the road in Lubbock to possibly win 4 in a row. Not likely but more than possible.

My favorite year might have been 2004.

--we were 24-9, 9-7 in the Big Twelve (tied for fifth)

--we were nineteenth

--In the Big Twelve tournament, we were underdogs in every game

--63-56 over #13 Colorado
--78-66 over #8 Kansas State
--66-47 over #2 Texas

Caton Hill, Dionnah Jackson, and Maria Villarroel went absolutely nuts in the tournament. Texas had no answer for Maria's quickness in the finals.

Incidentally, there were some decent freshmen who were still trying to figure it out:

--Britney Brown
--Erin Higgins
--Kendra Moore (ACL)
--Leah Rush
--Krista Sanchez
--Casey Walker

That team got hot at the right time.

If we did get hot, I could see us in the championship game against Baylor, but we can’t beat them, IMHO.

We’d probably still be at or right under .500 for the season.

We aren’t going to make the big dance, but we could finish strong.

....

We aren’t going to make the big dance, but we could finish strong.

Looking at the remaining regular season games, the opportunity is certainly there to finish strong.

> OSU .. 14-12 (5-10)
> TCU .. 18-8 (8-7)
> @ Texas Tech .. 12-14 (3-12)

Combined with the win in Morgantown, the Sooners have a chance to end the regular season with a 4-game winning steak. THAT would really help the team's outlook going into the off-season.
