Sigh. Typical abd. Just because you don't agree with it doesn't make it wrong or out of the realm of possibility. Be a man about it and state why someone is wrong, realizing that is only your opinion, instead of posting crap like the above.

While 5-6 wins in conference play would a tremendous feat for this team, it's not impossible. Get over yourself.

and I would like what ever you are on Sr.

If you had to set a line on an over/under for conference wins, where do you start it?

I would start it at 4 and probably take the under if betting on it. 3 is too low to take the under. I think 5 is too high for serious people to take the over.

Agreed, 4 is where it should start (sadly).

Slightly reaching, but I'll take the over. I think OU will get to 5 this season.

It has nothing to do with what we have seen from OSU, it has to do with the fact that almost every year no matter how good or bad either team is, they seem to split the home and home.

On paper you out class us every where on the floor, but rivalry games are a funny thing

Fair enough.

I understand what you're saying there, but sometimes when the talent disparity is enough, the "rivalry factor" doesn't come into play.

Kind of like those two years with Blake when OU was just much more talented than OSU across the board. The "rivalry factor" didn't stop OU from sweeping us those two years.

I can't see us beating OSU this year. They can play the game in Norman, Normandy, Norway, wherever, and I can't see it happening. Or should I just say I would be very surprised?

But you did win in the Big 12 tourney the elite eight year

Exactly why I think we could win the OSU game. I don't expect we will win, but if I'm forced to pick 2 games OU could win in conference, the OSU game in Norman is one of them because it is a rivalry game.

Having said that, no way on earth we should have won last year and wouldn't have won if OSU's best player wasn't out down (injury or foul trouble; can't remember which) the stretch.

I can't either. But then again, in no way should OU have won last year and they did. So that's why I wouldn't be completely shocked this time around.

Last year whenever we beat OSU we had Willie Warren on the floor. As maligned as he was, we had a legit NBA player on the floor for us. If Willie doesn't get hurt last year there's no way we finish as poorly as we did. I still think we were in for a disappointing season, but not as bad as it ended up being.

Good point, but then again Ok. State also had one of their best players in school history with All-American James Anderson on the floor as well. The circumstances aren't drastically different enough this season when looking at both teams as it was last season for me to be completely surprised should OU pull off the upset. Just my opinion.

Agreed.

OSU's guards are terrible. They have some good post players. I think they may be one of the best coached teams in the conference which makes up for their lack of talent.

Only south division game we have a good chance to win is tech at home. No way we beat osu in norman. Shot to win against neb and colorado. Potential big upset win would be to win at isu

Combined record of the teams we have won against is 23-40. The only win I see is maybe TT in Norman.

OSU's guards are terrible.

You serious, Clark?

"Terrible"?

Page is a legit Big 12 1/2 guard. He's a junior averaging 15+ ppg. He scored 23 points last night in one half.

Penn has regained his form from last year and is playing really well now.

Sidorakis isn't outstanding offensively, but he's a great role player who's pretty good defensively.

If you consider Olukemi, who plays that hybrid 2/3 position that Muenelo played, part of the backcourt, it becomes even more crazy to consider our backcourt "terrible."

OSU's guard play isn't like it was when we had Anderson/Muenelo/Page/Harris a few years ago, but it's hardly "terrible."

Page, Olukemi, Penn, and Markel Brown are all good.. Pretty ridiculous to say they are terrible.

They are 11-1 because they are getting great post play and have good guards. The guards arent great, but they certainly classify as good.

I think they are so well coached in both areas. I don't think their talent at guard is really any different from OU. Their post play is a lot better. But they are fundamentally night and day better than OU in every area. OSU defends, blocks out, passes, plays team ball better than a lot of teams out there.
