Ada: Guess there's nothing new to report on Pritchard? Does anyone have any idea if we are still being considered by this kid?

Pritchard seems a perfect fit for Kruger's system. Hate to lose the kid, but if we have, Coach K will move on and the Sooners will continue to get better.

Scrybe, I was told not long ago that Pritchard was still a top priority for the same reasons you alluded to: He's a perfect fit for OU's system. Beyond that, there is nothing new that I'm aware of.

I personally believe there will come a time when our coaches will move on to someone else if Payton does not recommit with the same kind of enthusiasm he demonstrated when he committed to OU several months ago. Coach Kruger is not prone to dilly-dally around too long and lose out on a solid prospect who wants to be a Sooner. As much as I like Payton Pritchard and want to see him in an OU uniform, he's not the only recruit out there who is capable of running our offense.

I agree. If a top point guard like Jarreau wants to commit, OU will take him. It's kind of first come, first serve. Jarreau is visiting for the WV football game on October 2nd so he won't commit until at least then. Pritchard has already said he wants to commit in the fall. I know Kruger and his staff will sign a good PG even if it's one of the Juco's that CoachTalk mentioned a couple of weeks ago.

It really hurt when the news hit but I think once we all took a step back (McGusty committing sure helped) you realize that Lon is building a real program here and a top player like Pritchard isn't a once every couple years kind of recruit for us at this stage.

If he wants to come back on board great, if not we will have multiple people banging the door down and rightfully so. We showcase the guard positions and whoever comes will be coached up and improve during their time here.

It's nothing but a hunch. I have no inside information whatsoever, but I sort of think Pritchard recommits to us. Don't bet the rent (or even a beer) on it; I offer no guarantee whatsoever. It's just a feeling I have.
