I believe it's a BIG 12 conference record, so the biggest since maybe Big 8 days? or ever

That's incredible. What a win! I'd trade 30 of those points to guarentee a road win this Saturday though. But man, if that's not a confidence boosting win for our guys, I don't know what is.

Tech isn't very good, but they really aren't all that bad either. Super impressive win, and it caught the eye of everyone around the country!

From the Notes section on Soonersports

• No. 24 Oklahoma set a Big 12 record for fewest points allowed in a conference game in an 81-36 home win over Texas Tech. The 45-point win was OU’s second largest of the Big 12 era in league play (beat Baylor by 49 points in the 2002-03 season).

• The 45-point win tied for the eighth largest in Big 12 history in conference play and represented OU’s second largest winning margin in league action (the Sooners beat Baylor by 49 in the 2002-03 season).

If only we could take those 30 and disperse them throughout 4 games that we lost by 7 or less and make those wins :ez-laugh:

Haha Lax, this is exactly what I was thinking!

Oh well. When it comes down to it, if the committee is on the fence about us between (for example) a 4 or a 5 seed, this massively lop sided win might push us over the edge.
