Payton Pritchard Announcement

Couple insiders on twitter said they wouldnt be surprised if its OU.
 
It can't hurt that he just visited OU and both parents are ex-Sooner athletes. The kid is just a junior and has lived his whole life in Oregon. I still think it's a long shot.
 
This would be HUGE if it happened. The perfect type of player for Kruger and staff, particularly Henson to work with. Perfect.

Also, this is the type of kid others want to play with on their team. An early announcement means he can start recruiting for you.

Fingers crossed on this one.

I wonder if Terry Pritchard's parents still live in Moore. If so that could be an advantage too.
 
It sounds to me like one of 2 things.
1. He had a school already picked and visited us as a favor to his parents.
2. He gave us a chance and we blew him away.
I'll cross my fingers but I'd be really surprised if he picked us. I imagine it will be Oregon or Gonzaga, maybe Wisconsin.

Man, wouldn't it be sweet if Payton commits to OU on Monday?!!!

I really like this kid. He would be the perfect fit in our offense, plus he would come in as a freshman when Jordan is a senior, with no pressure to start right away. If he's as good as I think he'll be in two years, he would get plenty of playing time even if he's not a starter.

By the way, I can see why the Crystal Ball is trending up in OU's favor now. He's announcing on Monday, only days after last weekend's visit to Norman.

Huuumm! Didn't we get a commit from a player who announced right after his visit not long ago? ;)
 
Yikes, talk about feeling old. The girlfriend I had through most of my time at OU broke up with Terry Pritchard to go out with me.

Hadn't heard that name in a LONG time! :ez-roll:
 
What a nice get this would be. So much in recruiting is about fit and I fail to see where this kid wouldn't be a glove fit at OU.
