Let's say Buzz rejects OU's offer.
Has anyone heard if OU has contacted Bruce Pearl to check out his situation?

Minus Pearl's violation, he is by far a better recruiter, better X and O's coach, more entertaining coach to watch than Buzz.

From what I hear OU feels pretty good about not getting any violations from the Gallon situation. So they might have some room to add Pearl. He would come cheap, as in not paying him 2.2mill and doesn't have a buyout. He would be the home run hire IMO.

OU was sanctioned by the NCAA when Sampson left. Five years later we're being investigated again, and hoping we don't have to face another sanction. Do you really think Joe C. would be interested in hiring a coach who violated NCAA rules, was party to a cover up, and then lied about it?

Pearl would be a great hire under different circumstances. But it's not going to be at OU. Bruce might not be able to coach anywhere for a while.

Me too but after Sampson and the stuff last year with Gallon they will not take the chance.
