Peyton Pritchard's Girlfriend Appreciation Thread

Mods...can we give OKHoops918 an OSU logo as his avatar? That way he can't fake it anymore.

Not sure where this is coming from. I had heard he'd go to KU about 3 weeks before his commitment date.

I had heard he preferred OSU over OU at the time but it was KU most likely. His dad got more involved and adamant about OU later in the process. Glad he chose to stay in Norman

Don't want to dog on the kid or stop recruiting him but I think its fair to say its unlikely he comes to OU.

I've said it since ive known in november though and Ive been told im making things up by several

to each their own

I said before KU (90%) or OSU(5%) or UK (5%), KU likely.

He isn't coming here and Lon is fooled.

But I'm sure someone who thinks they know will come on and inform us all of the 'truth'.

The thought that he is a Norman kid and been to OU games so much has no bearing...

Sucks but true!

Here are just a few things youve known as gospel.

I know sometimes Ive gotten bad info on a kid committing or leaving etc.

Dad wants KU though. KU is most likely.

You're now directly contradicting yourself by saying that it was only because his dad wanted Trae at OU that he ended up signing with the Sooners.

Please stop. You're embarrassing yourself and wasting our time.

Need I go further? All of your posts have an underlying pro-OSU tone. You try to act like an OU fan but your OSU fandom is way too strong for you to fake being an OU fan. :eddie187_jpg_xs:

EXACTLY!!!! :chestram2:

Maybe Trae is at OU because HE wants to be at OU? Is that so hard for an aggie to comprehend?

Gee, B.O.B., I hope I don't get on your bad side ;). Seriously, it has been obvious for quite some time this poster was an Aggie. That's fine, but just wish he admitted it. It's not as if he wouldn't be allowed to post here. Of course, it would ruin his fun in making those predictions. When Trae picked OU, I don't think that guy posted for quite some time.

As for Pritchard, I just wish he never committed to OU in the first place. In basketball, flips can hurt a lot more than football in the short term. Fortunately, it looks like it only hurt OU for one year. Cool idea for a thread, BTW.

Did anyone else hear that PP has decided to leave Oregon and continue his college career at Stillwater?

Or does okhoops918 have the exclusive on that one too? :)

With this keen observation from Sky, I believe ouhoops918 should be banned if he doesn't change his username. We have confirmation he was subverting. Obviously a mole.

Great spot, Sky.

I'm not trying to call anyone out but geez he needs to stop trying to fool us with his obvious aggie fandom. He needs to change his user name to OSUHoops918 or get an OSU avatar or something, but don't waste my time by trying to act like he's an OU fan when it's clear he is not.

WF, you may know me and how I operate as an admin as well as anyone on this board. I think you already know, but for some reason I feel compelled to explain where B.O.B. and other posters are coming from. Okhoops918 brought this on himself. As the old saying goes [paraphrasing here]: If he walks like a Poke and talks like a Poke, there's a good chance he's a Poke.

Nothing about this user's posting profile, except for a token "we" or "hope I'm wrong" tells me he's an OU fan. It's obvious he struggles with giving OU's basketball program and our players credit for much of anything. When he was saying Trae would pick OSU or KU, he said "Trae is a great player and OU would be lucky to have him." Now he's saying, "I'll wait until Trae Young posts a year of statistics at the D1 level." Seriously?! He needs to wait a full year to know if Trae can compete at this level? Putting this clueless statement aside, I see it as a biased response from the fan of a school that lost a recruiting battle.

I don't need to tell you that I have always welcomed fans from other schools to this board. I have also defended their right to be here over the years, even when OU fans were being banned from OSU boards for nothing more than admitting they were Sooners. My position has not changed. What I don't like or appreciate is a poster who comes here to rub our noses in the possibility we may lose a high-profile recruit. He was saying things to get OU fans riled up, and he's still doing it. Check out what he said about Brady Manek.

Pulling the plug on this guy would be a lot easier than dealing with the problems he creates. I try to give everyone, even those I don't care much for, the benefit of the doubt. Okhoops918 is not doing himself any favors by picking up where he left off when he was proven wrong about Trae Young. It's time for him to quit making excuses, but above all stop trying to convince everyone he's the resident expert on recruiting and evaluating players. A little humility is not necessarily a bad thing.

I couldn't agree more. I was just having some fun, hence the wink in my post. And yes, no one will ever accuse you of being unnecessarily harsh on a poster who supports a rival. OSUhoops918 reminds me a bit of Cheno. Although the latter was an obvious KU fan, he always tried to give us the impression OU was his second favorite team and took more than his share of subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) jabs at OU.

Cheno. A name from our distant past. I have often wondered what happened to Cheno and Grace? They were fixtures here once. Too bad they couldn't get over the fact that KU fans needed to recognize their place when they're on an OU board.

Fans from all schools are welcome here. But when you're a guest in someone else's house, it not polite to track in mud on your shoes, or insult the home owner's family with baseless rumors or by saying unkind things about the people they care for. Fan board behavior is a lot like life in the real world should be, isn't it?

Just a sooner fan trying to pass along info I heard at a time. If Trae was an OU lock don't you think he would've committed earlier?

like I've said, glad he is here! I don't think he'll struggle at the D1 level I just have no idea if he'll be a good player or an elite player at this level his frosh year. In due time (soph or jr year) I think he projects to be an elite player, I just dont know if its immediate.

Glad to see theres so much talk about me, it's nice to be thought of

It's what turned the tide! I said OU was favorite for a long while, then Trae started seeing stars at KU and even OSU for a short period he had been excited with them.

Trae ended up deciding that OU would be the best spot for him and his dad was important in that decision

He wasnt a lock, but d@mn sure wasn't ever headed to OSU.

He wanted to commit a lot sooner than he did. He was an OU lean since middle school. But when UK KU call I think it's best to listen. Dad probably did him right and showed him the light but it was brighter at OU.

Yet another clown post from OSUHoops918. :facepalm

I've yet to see a post from you that says "OU was the favorite". Please find it and post the link to the thread and tell us the post number, like I did with your other posts. Right-click your username and then choose "see all posts by this poster" (or whatever it says) and find that post. Either find it or stop trying to hide behind your aggie fandom.

That post never happened. I don't know where his loyalties lie ( and don't really care) but for him to try to argue he thought TY was leaning OU is completely false. That never happened. And Sky was dead on in pointing out his -- let's call it what it was -- his lie that Trae's dad was pushing him to OU. That runs completely contrary to what everyone else read or heard and he was either deliberately telling a lie or he's completely clueless.

I just try to ignore him. Every post from him just seems completely divorced from reality.

Guys, my conscience will not allow this to continue without setting the record straight. Like you, I was convinced that post did not exist...that is, until I found it in okhoops918's posting profile late last night. He made the post below on November 3rd of last year.

From that point forward, at least in his mind, OU was virtually dead last in the running for Trae Young. In okhoops918's now infamous predictions, the Sooners weren't usually included except as an afterthought.

Sorry if I disappointed anyone. But, while some may not believe it, I try to be fair to everyone on this board.

i am actually serious and have it from a good friend close to trae family

OU was leading for a long time but things have changed over the last 2 months. UK isn't an option, he wants to stay close to home.

he grew up an OSU fan and always saw himself there. Lindy waters and Underwood have inched their way back into his recruitment. he loved his KU visit and is a lean to KU.

this is what i heard and its same person who told me OU or UK for past 3-12 months

dont kill messenger

I stand corrected, he did post OU was in the lead. Thank you Ada for pointing this out. If the tables were turned and I was the one on trial I would hope someone with the info would help me. Good job Ada.

I still think he's an aggie though. I just wish he would admit it because it wouldn't change anything as long as he was respectful like some other resident aggies here.
