Players have confidence in Capel's coaching >>> Tulsa World

That's cute. Still doesn't change the fact that Capel has turned this program into a laughing stock.

It should be noted that football players threatened to quit when John Blake was fired.

All Capel -Blake comparisons should end.

Blake never had so much as a winning season. With Capel as coach, we went to the NCAA tournarment twice, including an Elite 8 run.

They share little in common.

Thats hysterical. Its not that he is a bad coaches, the darn players just dont listen to him.

The players should love Capel. Without him about 2/3 of them would be playing at low-major schools.

Yes, this is definitely something we should be quoting. A basketball coach telling his players they need to listen more, practically unheard of.

I agree with you, and that doesn't include Hardrick who was on scholarship until a few weeks ago. Another two or three would not have seen meaningful minutes on most OU teams of the past. I'm sickened by the decline in the level of talent on this team.

Capel: 162-93 in nine years. 86-58 in conference.
Blake: 12-22 in three years. 7-17 in conference.

Yeah, I see the similarities.

I'm pretty unhappy with where we are at right now, but even so, I can see that Blake/Capel comparisons are ludicrous.

The problem is that Capel is like their big brother nstead of their coach so they don't listen or respect. The years we won with Blake, Blake and Taylor kept everyone in line. Ever since they left, we have chaos.

I'm still upset we lost Ahmed Kabba. The program really would have made strides under Stoops if he had stayed on campus. In all seriousness, though, it would have been awesome if De'Mond Parker had stayed.

Did Willie Warren sleep with your girlfriend?

It sure seems like 9 years of pain and suffering.
But I think it's only been 5.
