Poor Blake, dealt to DET

Thunder fans that want Blake crack me up. He'd be a terrible fit playing alongside Westbrook. Westbrook needs as many shooters on the court with him as he can get. Especially at the 4 spot.
 
Like most cities, there are some beautiful wealthy suburbs in Detroit. Detroit also has the 11th most millionaires in the country (ranked by city)... Detroit's amount of millionaires and wealth far exceeds the entire state of Oklahoma. Michigan is also one of the naturally "prettiest" states in the country.

Detroit obviously has a ton of problems, especially in the inner city, but there is a lot of wealth in Detroit, compared to many other places. I assume Blake will live super wealthy nice part.

In other words, Blake will be fine... I actually think he will do well there next to Drummond.. They need to get some shooters and finish putting the team together, but I think he could do well in the motor city...
 
For those feeling "bad" for Blake, he's got over $171 million reasons to not feel too bad about it.

You clearly pay zero attention to Blake except to hate on him. Blake is a shooter now. He’s shooting 34% from 3 on 5 attempts a game. That’s a 1 percent difference from Melo and better than every other 4 in the Thunder.

Yes, I doubt Blake ever sees 8 mile. These NBA guys typically aren't that connected locally.

I remember seeing a story a few years ago about how Tim Duncan played for San Antonio for 15 years (or whatever it was) and had never been to The Alamo. How the hell is that possible?

Because LW is a better fit to spell some of Roberson's time than Blake. If it's not going to be someone who directly fits the role like Thabo then a scorer like LW would be much more workable in that second team while Grant or Heustis takes over the starting spot. For that matter if LW has any kind of defensive chops then he might take that starting spot. All much easier to do than shift our 3/4's around to work in Blake.
