What's up with 8-1? I know it's still been inconsistent at times, but hard to argue that we haven't played much better during this stretch, especially defensively. We've made adjustments, are letting the hottest player take the shots, and have had some pretty great analytics during that period -- all against P5 opponents home, on the road, and neutral site.

Has Porter had an epiphany? Did Denny infuse him with some "fighting for your life" energy? Did the players finally decide to step in / up and push for changes? Are the assistants getting more opportunities to share their perspectives? Return to statistical normalcy?

Also, inbounds plays and timeout usage has been infinitely better.

during the sec tourney and the last few games of the season...it seemed to me that the energy and effort on the court was nothing like i'd seen all season.
it looked like the players were literally competing like their lives depended on it.
they were getting rebounds and getting loose balls they hadn't gotten all season.
it's just demoralizing watching teams get 2/3/4 shot attempts on on trip down the floor....but we were the team doing that for the first time ever.
the colorado game? seemed like we reverted back to the old ways.
that's my perception.
