Kur has played well and is unlikely to redshirt.

I hope Kur is the real deal.....
We will need a quality backup for Muni. Does anyone think Muni can improve on defense and cut down on his fouls????? So many of his fouls were unneeded and unforced. And he needs to learn to check his emotions and quit getting the technical fouls.
Muni needs to check his emotions? Are you sure he’s the one who gets technical fouls? I agree he needs to play smarter on defense and cut back on his fouls. But, I’m hoping he develops a mean streak and plays with more aggression.
If he has been technical prone, I must have missed it.
Is it possible you have Muni confused with Khadeem Lattin?
lol...it's funny...He's prob one of the best opposition team guys...always helping guys up, etc...but he also gets T's for stupid crap. Grabbing someone going up for a lay-up, stuff like that...nothing "mean" or violent.
* maybe flagrant fouls vs T...
Really? Can’t believe I don't remember the techs you and Tooney referenced. I would actually be happy if he showed a side we don’t see too often. My biggest complaint about Muni is that he’s too nice, too polite. I’ll watch for that side of his personality now. Thanks!
I don't remember which game it was.....I'm thinking it was in conference and I can't find stats on technical and flagrant fouls.
I'm almost sure that I remember him getting a couple of flagrant fouls during the year. One was when the other team was on a big run and an opponent had a slam dunk going.....and Jamuni just grabbed him while he was on the rim. It was just a bad play on his part, but it made me think he was letting his emotions get the better of him.
I think the other foul was very similar. Muni just needs to get tough and learn what he can get by with playing defense in the paint. And keeping the other team's big man out of the paint. Sounds easy, doesn't it????

Kur isn't going to be a starter this year.
Money has been battling some back issues. I think it is better now or at least I hope. He definitely needs to get meaner. He did get a couple of flagrants trying not to hurt a guy by grabbing them.
He has the talent to play in the league although he hasn't realized that is a possibility.
Just saw a tweet from Pryzbylo linking to an article he wrote after watching practice. I'm not a subscriber so I can't read the article, but the tweet said that it is clear that defense is a priority this season. I expected that to be the case but it is nice to hear that it is, in fact, happening. If anyone has seen the article and has any other tidbits to pass along, I'm all ears!
I'll believe it when i see it unfortunately.. but i hope it's true
Oh trust me, I agree. I never bought it when it was the players saying it last season -- something like that is hard to change midseason. But hearing it from someone who has watched a lot of practices over the years makes me think it is real this time.
I have made this comparison before, but I feel like this could be similar to what happened in 2014-15. The year before, we had a great offense but were horrible defensively, and it cost us down the stretch. They committed to defense in the offseason and were much, much better -- that is the year that ended in the Sweet 16. Lon obviously saw what happened last season and I'm sure he has made defense and toughness a huge emphasis.
