I also want to know if all of our players are healthy and ready for the season to start? I think CoachTalk said Yaya would be ready to go. How about Benny? He may be the player I’m more excited about than anyone.

I have been guilty of overselling teams in the preseason before. But I’m going to go out on a limb by saying this has to be the deepest team we have seen in years. There are no sure-fire stars that I can point to in the preseason. I feel sure, however, that Porter could start two pretty darned good teams and still have a player two on the bench in reserve.

I think OU is deep at guard, but how many can you justifiably play? Frontcourt is thin imo. I don’t expect Yaya to play much.

Benny is a lock to me! If I’m right, that means this team has ten players with the potential to get quality minutes. (And, I’m not ready to give up on Luke Northweather as our backup 5 right now).

No doubt about it. Porter has got a problem! This is a team with depth galore, especially our guards and wings. If one or more of the newbie bigs proves to be better than anticipated, the plot thickens even more. It’s going to be a fun season, Sooner fans!

This team is a mystery much like the football squad. Still a new system quite a few new guys gotta buy into, good but not great talent/depth, can the coaching compete day in and day out with the Big 12, who's going to step up and be the leader, etc. I'm excited to find out.

CJ may be our best shooter.. I think he has so much upside on the offensive end.. I hope he starts and you bring Jacob off the bench as a backup 4/3. Cortes/Uzan off the bench at 1/2 I like!

I agree. When I said locks I meant locks for significant (18+ minutes) playing time/probable starters.
