NCAA rules specifically state that out-of-season team workouts, termed "skill-related instruction" sessions, "shall not be publicized and shall not be conducted in view of a general public audience."
This is one of those rules that makes the NCAA seem so out of touch with reality and so much like a mindless bureaucracy. I bet, if you quizzed the President of the NCAA, he couldn't give you an answer off the top of his head why this rule exists.
