And it's interesting to note that most of these guys switching to KU seem to be associated with other "blue blood" programs for the most part. It's like it's the feeling "well we have to be losing him to the likes of KU if we couldn't get him" mentality.

I think it's more with what someone else posted above. Jerry Meyer, the national guy, told them UK was eliminated and gave those guys a call that they needed to switch picks. Most, likely don't have any info, so are just going with the trend, which is KU
