Crystal Ball movement toward KU, nausea setting in.

I posted this over on the Rivals site, so I apologize if some of you have seen this, but it explains why I think the recent Crystal Ball movement doesn't mean as much as it appears.

"As bad as that looks, I'm not sure it's actually all that telling.

I watched a Facebook live chat with Jerry Meyer (head of 247 recruiting) and a Kansas guy yesterday, and Jerry has had Kansas as his pick since early January.

Now, where do I get that it's not that telling? During the chat when they were talking about Trae, Jerry said it was a dead heat but that he thought Kansas would win out in the end. When he took a look at the CB predictions, he said something to the effect of "Wow, a lot of those guys still have Kentucky in there. I'll give them a call so they can get those changed."

And guess what? All three of those CB predictions have been guys changing from Kentucky to Kansas.

So I'm guessing most of those are actually Jerry getting on the phone, telling them they need to change their picks (because everyone knows Kentucky is out of it), and them asking or looking at who Jerry picked and rolling with it."

The Crystal Ball movement occurred yesterday when two of the so-called experts changed their prediction from Kentucky to KU. The fact that they were still stuck on UK, a school that had been out of the running for sometime, should tell you something about how reliable their new revelation might be.

Not saying that is a good sign for OU, just that the change in the Crystal Ball may not mean anything.

Thanks for the additional info, makes sense. Hoping they're wrong tomorrow and then eventually when the ink is dry.

Not sure if James Hale has any inside information on it, but he seemed pretty confident in Trae coming to OU when talking to Kansas fans last night. Don't know if he's just having wishful thinking or if he knows something.

He put out a story this morning stating that he was staying with his original pick of OU. Didn't mention having any sources though.

Unfortunately I don't take James "Wacky World of Recruiting" Hale's word on anything.

It does seem like he always predicts us to land everyone, but I'm looking for anything positive right now.

Another site just posted on its premium content (not going to say which one or give a lot away) that things look positive for OU.

Can't give you anymore than that since it's premium content, but I LOVED what I read...

Im nervous. 25 hours 43 mins.

I'm kinda impressed right now. Either Trae hasn't told the coaches yet or the coaches have been quiet and not told anyone because there's very little inside information on this. You'd think if Kruger, Underwood, or Self were told he wasn't coming, that someone would, either in the CBs, or at a paid site would say something, but it's been relatively quiet.

If there's no CB movement tonight, whether it's from the national writers or the OU/KU writers, then I will truly be amazed.

FWIW, the two moderators on Kansas' Rivals site have been saying this week their gut tells them it's OU.

I just read the family roundtable story. Seems to me that Trae and mom like OU. But, did is for anyone other than OU. Dad is caught up in the need for a legendary program: Kentucky, Kansas. Trae seems to understand that his indicator might ought to be what was done with Hield.

Now Bob Przybylo (who has been 55%-45% KU for a long time) has released his prediction for Trae.

He's now picking OU.
