Is having their way with Virginia Tech right now.....forced 14 turnovers in the first half. They are my pick to finish 4th in the conference, behind of course OU, KU, and ISU. Their big man Devin Williams is averaging 16 & 9 ; it will be a treat to watch him and Spangler do battle.

WVU is a big question mark to me. They've won a lot, but their schedule has been disgustingly easy other than the Virginia game. We'll see what they do in conference play.

I'd be very surprised if we let that press bother us this year.

Our backcourt is just too good, and guys like Spangler, Lattin, and Buford can all help relieve some of the pressure as well.

West Virginia and Baylor should finish 4th & 5th and be very solid teams this year. I'd expect that both will be between #4 & #7 seeds in the tournament and both will give us fits on their home courts.

Probably both of them will win at least one game against the top 3 in the league.

I think you just have to make them pay for pressing by attacking the rim once you break the press.

I also trust Spangler to be used as an outlet if the press is really difficult. There are not many guys his size that are as coordinated as Ryan Spangler. You certainly don't want him handling the ball around a couple of guards but he can catch, put it on the floor and advance with either a pass or dribble on about any big in the conference.

Spangler is an outstanding passer and, if I recall correctly, was a big part of breaking the press and blowing out WVU last year in Norman.

I agree and the games in Morgantown and Waco will be boogers this year...as they usually are. Still, I have a little bit of doubt this year in Baylor. I've seen them play four times thus far and have come away somewhat underwhelmed. IMO, there is a noticeable dropoff from KU/OU/ISU to WV and Baylor.
