Based upon her time on the court over the last 10 games, I'm pretty sure Portia Durrett is never going to see any significant court time ever again.

She had a few games where I felt she was getting it and played pretty well but she's down a deep hole at the moment.

I don't think that her playing time next year will be based on the last 10 games of this year. A lot of off-season work and practices between now and then.

I've wondered if she's been somewhat injured. I can't understand otherwise why she hasn't been getting any minutes.

I think she would really be needed tomorrow, as ISU has three bigs, and Sharene just doesn't have the size to handle Christofferson. But, then Christofferson is a tough matchup for most any team. There just aren't too many 6'3"" wings that can shoot like her.

Defensive lapses tend to result in time on the bench. I think Portia has not yet picked up on the D-1 need for defense and accurate passing. She has some tools, but I don't know that she will get much of a chance until she becomes more consistent on defense. Sherri was even very specific about a defensive lapse by Kornet that led to a three once we came back and called it a freshman mistake.

Uh, she can't play defense, she can't shoot, she turns the ball over. Why would you want her to be on the floor?

A lot of the JC teams play very little defense and have no idea what team basketball means. Portia was probably on one of those teams and would explain her seeing very little playing time at OU. Next year will be the time to judge her game.
