In what order would you rank OU's 3 point shooters. A follow-up question is whether any of the bigs will be allowed to take 3 point shots.

Spangler jacks up a lot of 3's. They aren't going to run a play to get him a 3 pt. shot. But, in transition or within the flow of the offense, if he is open for a 3 pt. shot, he will take it.

Just from current evidence, it looks like if they are going to run a play to get a specific player an open look at a 3. That player would be Hornbeak. He has a nice looking stroke and he is hitting well. Then you have Buddy, Cousins and Woodard that will shoot open 3's when they come their way. Cam made 5 3's in a scrimmage the other day. Booker may evolve into a really good shooter one of these days.

I don't really think that we have a 3 pt. shooter that is as accurate as a guy like Pledger. But, this 3 pt. shooting concern is a non issue with this team. We have several guys that seems as though that they shoot 3's well enough. We have several guards that will be able to take defenders off the dribble to create offense.

I hope you are correct because I am worried about it. Outside of Hornbeak the percentages were bad last year.

I'm just guessing that we will have several guys, including Spangler and Cam, that will hit in in the 32% - 35% range. A couple of them might do a little better.

If Cam can convert 35% on threes - let's say he has 75-80 attempts this year - he might get some NBA looks. Mostly as a guy who can play man defense and shoot from the corner. A Bruce Bowen type, slender but strong who can guard three or four positions.

This would be a fantastic development for not only our team but for the prestige of the program.

I think that I an understand people's concerns about 3 pt. shooting. Things get easier if a team has guys that are really good from long range.

My only point is that we won 20 games last season while only shooting .323from 3 as a team. That is a pretty low bar.

I'm not sitting around practice keeping a shot chart. So I don't know exactly what pct. different players are shooting from 3 or what they are shooting as a group.

But, there is some one that does keep a practice shot chart and does know what individual players and the team is shooting. Kruger knows. There will be as many as 3 team managers with charts tracking shots/makes, turnovers, fouls, and who knows what else every practice.

Every one except Bennett and Hamilton seems to be green lighted to shoot an open 3 within the flow of the offense. Since Kruger has all of the data that he needs, I can only assume that he believes that the players that are shooting the 3's will be able to make an acceptable percentage.
