Quote by Capel

I didn't realize we were talking about "the history of OSU football". LOL.
Here was the quote I commented on:

This is Oklahoma basketball, not OSU football where a moral victory over a ranked opponent is a good thing.

I don't really see where 15, 20, 50 years ago is relevant. Fact of the matter is today and pretty much the last decade a loss to a ranked opponent wasn't a matter of "moral victory" for OSU football fans.
Now if you feel the need to go back over the "history" of OSU football to prove such a statement then fine...that's what you need to do.
To me, where the state of OU basketball is right now, the above comment is silly especially since the theme around here after the Kentucky loss was "moral victory". OU needs to get better on the court and fast. I've been a HUGE Coach Capel advocate but something needs to give and fast.
I'm not sure a win today is guaranteed and that worries me.

Skyvue is right though...I don't understand the last 100 years of OU/OSU football. I've never hid the fact I can't stand anything OSU nor do I like OU football in the least bit. The cockiness and arrogance stemming back to the Switzer days has never sit well with me. I don't know the history. I have followed both programs in recent history though.

:ez-roll: :ez-roll:

I doubt if Cheno will deny that you described KU basketball fans perfectly. Let's see if I'm right.

I've said numerous times on this board that OU football and KU basketball fans, by the masses, are nearly identical. Of course, I was told I was wrong but okay.

I agree with that statement 100%, and im sorry, i didnt recall you ever saying that

Fact: Skyvue lays down the smack better than any fan on this board. The man has a way with words. :clap
