Lattin, McNeace, Buford, 42 minutes, 5 boards. They have to do better! Spangler working too hard.

Ill give Buford a little bit of a pass. They did a good job switching Taylor onto Buford--and he played a lot of on ball defense. Not his job to get many rebounds when you're on ball. But Dinjiyl Walker had as many or more rebounds than all of them. Lol that cant happen

I think Kruger was sending a message to Lattin tonight....and yes I realize he was in foul trouble. We need his energy down the stretch, but he has to play smarter and within the context of the defense. OU is at their best when he is in the game.

Agreed. Good thing our guards rebound so well. UT is one of the biggest teams we'll play, so to find a way only be a minus two boards in tonight's game was quite an accomplishment.

Still, our other bigs need to do a better job and give Spangler more help.

To be fair, we have good rebounding guards, so a lot of times it is the job of the post player to just body up and seal their man, and our guards crashing from thr perimeter end up cleaning up the board.

There were a couple times tonight where we didn't do a good job rebounding, but overall I thought it was a big improvement from last game.

That's true and there were a few times where our guard took a board away from a big who was also there. Same team deal. McNeace twice, if I recall.

Our inside game and lack of consistent bench play will raise it's ugly head come tourney time. I thought by now we'd have a few off the bench we could consistently count on but it doesn't appear to be the case so far. Someone will come off the bench and do well in one game and then basically not heard from for the next 5 games. If we were to go to Final 4, we're just a little past halfway point in games and I think this team will wear down by then unfortunately.

I don't think 2 games a week for 19-22 year-old kids is very fatiguing.

We had this debate a month ago...no point in rehashing. All I'll say is that a month ago, it was frustrating because we weren't getting much bench help PERIOD. Now, we're getting it...just not from the same person or people game in and game out. At this point, we can live with that as long as somebody steps up each game off the bench. Last night it was Buford.

As for rebounding, I thought it was pretty good last night...a lot better than the KSU game for sure.

I think Buford was really big last night but you're right, Lattin has to stay on the floor. People are attacking us differently and going right at Lattin to get him to the bench. Our guards have to do a better job on dribble penetration but Lattin has to be smarter with his fouls.

I don't know why, but we lead the world in loose balls on the rebound tipped out of bounds or to the other team. It's very frustrating.

Last night, there were so many shots that bounced around on the rim for a while before falling. For texas they always seemed to fall through; for us, they fell off.

Yep, and it seems like every game the other team has a player that hasn't done anything all season have a career game against us. Last night it was Yancy.

It was really tough for another "big" to be near the basket to rebound on the defensive end last night especially when the Lammert kid was in the game. They are very similar to us in the fact that they have one post guy and four perimeter players. Fran pointed it out on the series of fast break hoops to Spangler how he got a head start on Ebay because of guarding Lammert on the perimeter.

totally agree. Tubbs great teams played seven guys max. And they pressed the entire game, the entire year. Fatigue in college basketball is over-rated
