Recruits

Mustang's got a few high level kids, but let's not act like they are getting elite transfers by the boat load. Outside of Haywood and Meyers, the rest are either role players or home grown kids. Of course, I'm not really counting Long as he's playing for his dad. The key to their success is, Terry can flat out coach.

As for Trae's ballhandling, he turned it over like crazy when they played at Mustang earlier in the year.

It is what it is. When 7 of your top 9 are not from Mustang then it is accumulating talent. High level or not that is what I am talking about.

Terry is doing well with what he has there. after next year he is gone too.

He is doing well this year whether it is the fact that he is doing it with 9 transfers the last few years Doesn't matter.

6, but again, that's more about Mustang being more of a football school than a basketball school. Point is, there are equal if not better basketball players in the district that opt to not play basketball. When there's only really 5 role player positions to fill those local guys opt for another sport and/or offseason in that other sport. This is normal in any large school.

Arguably, 3 homegrown kids are in their top 8

Hilarious how bad he is at trolling and how bad people are at recognizing it.

lol @osudan knowing everything about OSU and nothing about OU. He's our #1 fan!! Maybe he forgot about the best recruit of the Kruger area when he fell & hit his head in Stillwater which caused him to not post after our glorious butt stomping there for a couple days.

You're a lunatic. Im still waiting for you to post proof of all the bad things I say about OU and all the good things I say about osu. Still waiting...

Still waiting...

You back nothing up.

It sucks that programs like Duke can so easily get involved with players. I wish OU could do that.

Yep. TumTum instead of Walker... within 2 days he was ours to MSU. Just awful.. unless you are the one with the big name..

But maybe we dont get Pritchard if TumTum signs with OU..

Doesn't look like TumTum is getting a lot of run. I wonder if he's had second thoughts?

He's getting a little playing time, and with Trice a senior he should see his minutes drastically increase next year.

I hadn't thought about that tum/whatever kid in ages. You recruitniks are an odd breed.

So it's odd to be a huge fan of a program and want to know about the future of said program?
Absolutely not.

But when they're gone, they are GONE. That's why I said I hadn't thought about that kid in ages because once he bolted the memory card was wiped.

You caught my post before it was edited, but here ya go:

That's a reason to think about former recruits. If a kid like Nairn gets stuck behind some lottery pick at Mich St., he may very well look to head back to his second choice in the process.

Maybe...though I don't remember a single example of this happening before with OU basketball. I think of Keith Nichol who transferred to his 2nd choice but his 2nd choice was close to home.

Tum Tum may end up somewhere in Florida, close to his childhood home or even KSU but OU is fairly close to Wichita so you never know. We would take him I'm sure if he wanted to come here though.

Speaking of transfers, is there anyone out there OU might legitimately look at, JUCO or otherwise?

Regardless, I'm not sure if he'd want to transfer anyway. It was made to seem like, at least IMO, Nairn was playing only sparingly for MSU, but that's not hte case. He's averaging 17 minutes a game, and has played in all 24 games for the Spartans.

Why would OU even be interested in Nairn? Woodard has two more years to play and one of the best point guards in the country in Payton Pritchard will be here in 2016.

Tum Tum would have been a good get two years ago, but not now. As I see it, he's ancient history.

I just brought up tum as a reference I don't think he's transferring.

I don't know the answer to your questions...I don't follow recruiting so I don't know if we would take him or not. ;)
