A friend of mine from high school is an attorney in DFW. He posted on facebook Saturday night about an OU fan, who's dad is an OU letterman, dying of pancreatic cancer. He's fighting it, but if you know anything about pancreatic cancer the survival rate is very very small. Anyway, Barnes somehow got word about this guy, who's name is Jimmy Schnurr, and invited him and his boys to the game. They were able to eat pregame dinner with the Horns basketball team and the boys were given a bunch of Texas stuff. The boys were also allowed in the locker room as was their dad, before and during the game. As well as just being around Barnes and the team all afternoon. Jimmy posted pictures of it later and commented how special it was to his boys and what a great time they had.
Say what you want about Barnes, and I've said plenty about him in the past so I'm talking to me too, but the guy has class to do what he did.
Last, if any of you believe in the power of prayer, I'm sure Jimmy would appreciate your prayers for his fight with pancreatic cancer.
