Texas has had a ton of talent, not just NBA caliber either.
-Royal Ivey has been on a NBA roster since 2004.
-Chris Mihm was the 7th pick in the draft after being a two-time First Team All-Big XII and 2000 First Team All-American.
-PJ Tucker was the 35th overall pick in the draft, once All-Conference (would of been twice if he wasn't academically ineligible), Big XII player of the year and Second team All-American.
-Brad Buckman, McDonald's All-American
-Mike Williams, McDonald's All-American, transferred to Cincinnati, tore his achilles.
Texas' Tournament runs under Barnes:
'99 - #7 seed lost to #10 (Purdue)
'00 - #5 lost to #4 (LSU - who subsequently got blown out in the Sweet Sixteen)
'01 - #6 lost to #11 (Temple)
'02 - #6 lost to #2 (Oregon - Luke Jackson, Luke Ridnour and Fred Jones = so awesome)
'03 - #1 lost to #3 (Syracuse)
'04 - #3 lost to #7 (Xavier)
'05 - #8 lost to #9 (Nevada - with Nick Fazekas having his worst game of the year)
'06 - #2 lost to #4 (LSU)
'07 - #4 lost to #5 (USC - by 21 I might add)
'08 - #2 lost to #1 (Memphis - again by 20)
'09 - #8 lost to #9 (Wake Forest - who was 19-10, ended up firing their coach and are possibly the worst high major D-I team in America this year)
Barnes has lost to higher seeds eight times during his tenure. Definitely give Barnes credit, he hasn't missed the NCAA field since 1995 at Providence.
Will also add that Barnes has never won a Big XII tournament...even though they have been the #1, #2 or #3 seed NINE times (#1 seed three times).

Tucker was the 35th pick in 2006. I'm assuming that's a typo.

Yeah, the Horn posters have definitely fallen off from the old board (since blh is basically the only one that posts here). The ones that were going around pre-exodus OUI were nowhere near as fun to debate with as blh, drobe, etc...

Do you really want to do list of EVERYONES's talent, and then who had their talent stick around. You do know it's more variables included right. It's like some of you just became basketball fans.
And who cares about the tournament, the regular season champ is the Big 12 Champion. The tournament is for an automatic bid. If we win it, great, but I prefer to win the Big 12, not a 1 and gone tournament. It's noce to say you won it, but the regular season holds the weight.
