Your fact is a lie. See my post to bigtime on the same subject in this thread.
As far as flaming out in March, are you serious?
Tucker was the 35th pick in 2006. I'm assuming that's a typo.am All-American.
-PJ Tucker was the 5th overall pick in the draft, once All-Conference (would of been twice if he wasn't academically ineligible), Big XII player of the year and Second team All-American.

"UT advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA tourney in two of the last seven years and three times in the last ten seasons (2003, 2006 and 2008)."
And at one time...
"UT is one of only six programs to have advanced to at least the "Sweet 16" of the NCAA Tournament in five of the last nine seasons, joining Connecticut, Duke, Kansas, Michigan State and Pittsburgh"
Don't overexaggerate because of 1 or 2 years.

Rick Barnes is the modern-day Dean Smith. Nobody has done less with more.
Don't forget to make fun of him for Miami's season. Remember, he's a Hurricane first, Longhorn second. Here is a picture of blh in Dallas this morning:
You just got your a_s_s handed to you by skyvue and now I guess you have disappeared. I'm sure if OU wins, you will disappear just like you did in football season after you had predicted Mack had turned the corner against Bob and was now going to own the series, and what happened? Mack promptly went and took a big Texas sized dump on the football field every Saturday and Texas went back to their losing ways.
Let me tell you, nobody, and I mean nobody, enjoyed watching Texas lose at home to Big 12 doormats ISU and Baylor, who have never beaten OU under Bob Stoops, and Baylor has never beaten OU PERIOD. Then your boy, Musclecramp, forced Diarrhea Brown to fire his trusted buddies and then Musclecramp up and leaves for the SEC after saying he would never leave Austin.
Go back to the rodeo, clown.
Don't forget to make fun of him for Miami's season. Remember, he's a Hurricane first, Longhorn second.
I had to research it to make sure. I couldn't believe there was a GM walking this Earth who would've selected PJ Tucker with the fifth pick in the draft.Nothing gets by you 04...good looking out.
Don't forget to make fun of him for Miami's season. Remember, he's a Hurricane first, Longhorn second.
Yeah, the Horn posters have definitely fallen off from the old board (since blh is basically the only one that posts here). The ones that were going around pre-exodus OUI were nowhere near as fun to debate with as blh, drobe, etc...
The good ole days...
who was the one that bet $1000 with Jedi about Gilbert outperforming Landry? He hasn't been seen since it became obvious GG wasn't going to outperform Landry. Was that blh?
Exactly. And therein one finds the lie.
Barnes and Sampson faced each other for nine seasons. Barnes won two of those seasons, head-to-head. From 1998 to 2002, he was dominated by Sampson, winning just 2 of 12 games (.142). From 2005-2006, following the five-game winning streak, Barnes went 1-3 against Sampson, a winning percentage of .250.
You have every right to tout Barnes' five-game streak against Sampson, if you wish, but presenting that two-year streak as some kind of permanent turnaround, which you undeniably did above, even though Sampson won three of his final four games against Barnes, is disingenuous at best and an insult to our intelligence at worst.
So, that's that. You're exposed once again.
Now, perhaps you should move on to telling us why we shouldn't plan on beating ut a few times in a row in football. Did you see something the rest of us missed in last year's horns squad that has you feeling optimistic? Was it their stellar performance during bowl season?
Oh, wait....
Don't forget to make fun of him for Miami's season. Remember, he's a Hurricane first, Longhorn second.
Texas has had a ton of talent, not just NBA caliber either.
-Royal Ivey has been on a NBA roster since 2004.
-Chris Mihm was the 7th pick in the draft after being a two-time First Team All-Big XII and 2000 First Team All-American.
-PJ Tucker was the 35th overall pick in the draft, once All-Conference (would of been twice if he wasn't academically ineligible), Big XII player of the year and Second team All-American.
-Brad Buckman, McDonald's All-American
-Mike Williams, McDonald's All-American, transferred to Cincinnati, tore his achilles.
Texas' Tournament runs under Barnes:
'99 - #7 seed lost to #10 (Purdue)
'00 - #5 lost to #4 (LSU - who subsequently got blown out in the Sweet Sixteen)
'01 - #6 lost to #11 (Temple)
'02 - #6 lost to #2 (Oregon - Luke Jackson, Luke Ridnour and Fred Jones = so awesome)
'03 - #1 lost to #3 (Syracuse)
'04 - #3 lost to #7 (Xavier)
'05 - #8 lost to #9 (Nevada - with Nick Fazekas having his worst game of the year)
'06 - #2 lost to #4 (LSU)
'07 - #4 lost to #5 (USC - by 21 I might add)
'08 - #2 lost to #1 (Memphis - again by 20)
'09 - #8 lost to #9 (Wake Forest - who was 19-10, ended up firing their coach and are possibly the worst high major D-I team in America this year)
Barnes has lost to higher seeds eight times during his tenure. Definitely give Barnes credit, he hasn't missed the NCAA field since 1995 at Providence.
Will also add that Barnes has never won a Big XII tournament...even though they have been the #1, #2 or #3 seed NINE times (#1 seed three times).
I forgot he's a fan of The U.
Good thing Texas bball is doing well blh, you might be on suicide watch if they weren't given how pathetic Miami and Texas' football seasons were.
