Right now Woodard can't be in late

Woodard needs to play a lot better than he's played in conference play or we are in serious trouble. He's not been that good overall in conference play.

You make no sense. We just went 3-2 through arguably our most difficult stretch of conference games. If you call 11-7 or better in conference play serious trouble, you need to recalibrate your trouble meter.

The whole team is learning, growing, making mistakes, and hopefully gets better through it all. Teams go through ups and downs as do individual players. We played good and bad today and won. We played good and bad vs kstate and lost. Both are learning experiences. Hopefully we keep getting better and become a tougher, better team. By march, this could be a very tough team to beat.

We get a break in the schedule now and we must take advantage of it.

:facepalm

yup. spoke to the Woodards for a couple minutes after the game, and then i come here to read this. embarrassing. (and no one takes those misses harder than jordan or his family.) but theres not been one second of this season that I didnt want him on the floor. and missed ft's isn't going to change my opinion.

ever.

KSU he missed some clutch FTs late. Think he missed a couple against Texas late also. And against ISU also.

Watch the games, he didn't even play the last seven minutes against KSU and he closed the game making 9/10 against Texas.

No doubt!!!!! We go from I hope we make the tourney, to what the hell you mean we only beat 2 top 15 teams!!!!!!???????

The warped expectations of Sooner fans.:facepalm:facepalm

OP, please read my post.

I did, but I thought you were joking. :D

Seriously, I know you want the best for the team but coaching kids is like raising kids. Sometimes they have to fall down a few times. We win and he learns - sounds like a win-win to me.

He was also iced by the refs there. I'd rather have a 2nd or 3rd year Woodard in there but he is the best guy for us right now and I like how LK stuck with him.

Not only should he be in there he comes up big in those situations. We never have trouble getting the ball in bc he can get open so easily. He demonstrates not wanting the ball at the end of games but demanding it. He would be the last person I would want out if we are up in late game situations.

Very good and often under-emphasized point about the way he wants the ball.

I feel the same way. Jordan is a winner! Even when we lose he's a winner.

When the game is on the line, he's the player I want with the ball in his hands.

We ve won a bunch of games because of his ability to get to the line at the end of games, really have to be kidding me in not wanting him out there - that is the main reason why I was so critical of him not being out there against KSU.

Again, don't get your panties in a wad!! We Like Jordan BUT if you want to win close games and you have THE one person who handles the ball that has issues making free throws I DON'T WANT HIM ON THE FLOOR. You all can go all nicey nicey on us but I want to win games. Life is tough some times but the facts are the facts. Yes he is JUST a freshman but I don't care if someones a 5th year senior who serves soup to the poor every week, I would sit them with a small lead end of the game on the road IF THEY CAN'T MAKE A FREE THROW.

What facts? He missed 2 of 3 free throws today, so it's a fact he's not a clutch free throw shooter? Hield scored all his points in the 2nd half today so I don't want him in the first half of any game because he's a slow starter.

You can't have a knee jerk reaction every time someone does something wrong. Woodard will be fine and the criticism of Cousins is pretty harse considering the contribution he has made to the team this year.

Good win. If we play solid games we could sweep Texas schools this year. We have knocked off the two toughest on their home court.
