Noel is still going top 3.
If you say so.
Noel is still going top 3.
Whoever just said we should finish 1st is just plain dumb. KU has far more talent and experience. Baylor as well.
Eddie Sutton said Travis Ford has the most talent of any team in the Big 12. Of course, that was more of a backhanded compliment than anything.
I don't know if Eddie really said that, but if he did, he's wrong.
Kansas clearly has the most talent in the league. And they're experienced, to boot -- starting four seniors.
I don't know if Eddie really said that, but if he did, he's wrong.
Disagree. Brown and Smart are both first round picks and Nash will be drafted. KU has one lottery pick (McLemore) and maybe another draft pick (Withey).

Teams are made of more than 2 players. Go look at KU's roster. Their entire starting 5 and every major bench contributor were 4-star, elite recruits.
And again, they are starting 4 seniors.
This post totally made me LOL.
Yeah, because it's just so ridiculous to suggest that Kansas is the most talented team in the Big 12 right?
What a totally outrageous idea.

To actually quote him...Eddie Sutton said OSU might be the most talented team in the Big 12 but he also went on to say that they are young and experienced.
That's not quoting him -- that's paraphrasing. You're just asking us to accept that your summing up of what Sutton said is more accurate than the other poster's summary of his remarks, and maybe it is -- I don't know (nor do I much care).
The only reasons I care one way or the other about Smart coming back is the relentless hype he receives, the embarrassing flopping he resorts to, and the coddling he too often receives from the officials. The guy's a good player, but he's not invincible, so bring him on (or not).
That Smart won the conference player of the year is guestionable, in my opinion, but whatever -- he got the big award. So if he does stick around, hopefully the announcers will drop the tongue baths and just cover the game as it happens on the court. If he goes off, great -- praise him for it. If he doesn't, praise the guy who does. Or the team that wins. The relentless focus on one player -- any player -- is nauseating.
Perhaps it was just as bad when Blake Griffin was at OU, I don't know. I kind of doubt it, but maybe it was. But not his freshman season, even though BG's stats that season stacked up strikingly well against Smart's. But BG didn't get that kind of relentless hype till his sophomore season, when he was the national player of the year and he had a truly special season, statistically.
Withey will be a lottery pick. He is tall and moves well. Basketball skills are secondary. See Hasheem Thabeet.
Smart is a lottery pick but not top 3. He doesn't have PG skills or mentality. He is a two guard in a point guard's body (minus the enormous hands).
Brown's and Nash's draft stock and position depend a lot on who comes out and the order of picks. Both very good basketball players but fit has to be there at the right time.
Excuses.
That's not outrageous, but the idea that you know more about talent than Eddie Sutton is hilarious. You are really down with the lollipop guild, huh?
