Peoples expectations are out of whack. If hes similar to Jabhari Brown ill be thrilled. 7-8 points and 10 boards would be what we need. Anyone expecting 18-13 will be disappointed.

i don't expect 18 and 13, but i think its what we need to be competitive next year

It might take two player to get that. Now if we can get two bigs that together can consistantly put those numbers or better between them that may be what it takes. What we need (at least in my opinion) is consistant performers. Guys that can go out every night and bring it. I don't think we are going to get any real super stars this year so we need to get guys that are better than what we have now. If Goff that...probably but we need another big to pair him with so that when he is out we don't get ripped. Then we can let the other guys play in position and they should produce better. Just my .02 though.

His averages are down to 10.6 ppg and 6.5 rpg in 20.3 minutes/game.

Im ok with it taking 2 player to get there, but we all know rebounding is a glaring weakness.

Yup it the elephant in the room so to speak. I lost track of the times in the Cinn game that they got 2-3 offensive rebounds and then scored after the inital miss.

I admit to not know much about it but it appears all the hype about these two guys for next year is just that ---hype and not much hope!!

Anyone expecting 10 boards will be disappointed, too.

The current Big 12 leader averages less than 9. It's rare when more than one player averages 10+ in any given year in the Big 12. 10 boards is elite. 7-8 is damn good. 8 and 10 for Goff is probably a pipe dream. 8/6 is probably realistic. Be excited about anything more.

So some are already down on Goff before he has even suited up for OU. He wont start, wont contribute, not good enough...ect....I know this board has a lot of glass half-empty posts but wow this is quickly becoming just a negative message board.
