I'd like to see the Big-12 just smoke the field ... and I don't care if it is OU or ISU or Baylor or whoever.

Don't get me wrong - I will be cheering for OU. But i's also like to see this conference prove just how strong it is this season. In the past it seems like we've been heralded only to be outdone by the Big-10 or ACC or SEC or Big East.

I want this to be the Big-12's year. I think Baylor and ISU have a very good shot to do well ... as does OU. Heck I might even root for OSU, UT, and Kansas.

I'm with you. I'm a basketball fan. OU is clearly my team, but I'll be rooting for the B12 although I really don't want OSU or Texas to go further than the Sooners. I can't help it.

My son, grandson, and I discussed going to Columbus and decided not to go. I do plan on going to the regional finals here in Houston the following weekend although OU isn't playing in this regional..... I'm just a fan.

I went a few years ago when Baylor and Duke met in the sweet 16 in Houston. It was a lot of fun if you are just a basketball fan.

I'd like to see the conference do well, but the minute Texas, OSU, or even KU start getting beat, I'll probably go back to my default setting of actively rooting against those individual teams.

I don't usually but this year I am - we were the toughest conference in the country and most people don't believe we'll have more then 1 team making the Elite 8 if that. Would like to see our group do well and prove that the gauntlet these teams faced was in fact real.

I think that 6 of the 7 teams that made the tourney could make the sweet 16 (OSU being the only one that couldn't), and none of them can make the final four.

I think three or four could make the Final Four. I don't think three or four will. I am simply saying that KU, ISU, Baylor and OU all have the potential depending on match ups.

Ditto. While I agree with those who say the Big 12 doesn't have a surefire candidate to make it to the final four, that doesn't change the fact that it was the best conference from top to bottom in the country this year. The stats when compared to every other conference support that claim.

I hope the Big 12 wins all of their first and second round games, gets at least two teams in the elite eight, and one (preferably OU) into the final four.

I see where Sperry is coming from though. I dont think OSU, UT, Kansas or WVU have the offensive chops to make the FF.

OU has the potential but I dont see it. They'd hafta play like they've never played this season (well, with the exception of that first half in Austin). Baylor is kinda in the same boat.

To me Iowa State has the best chance to do it if they play well. At least in terms of their own potential.

I am rooting for OSU and UT, to make sure their coaches stick around for a few more years. I wouldn't mind seeing Baylor, ISU and WVU make a good showing. I hope KU loses to Wichita St. in the second round, because I think that would be hilarious.

I've always been amused at the notion that the tournament (or in football, the bowls) somehow stands as the definitive "proof" of the quality of a conference. By every objective metric, the Big 12 was far and away the best conference this regular season. Whether, and to what degree, that translates to postseason success will not change that fact.

Dont the "experts" predict that no Big XII will make thre Elite Eight? I, too, am tired of being a premier conference only to see the conference teams clutch in the tourney.

Yes I'm definitely rooting for the league to make a good showing. They've gotten a lot of respect this year and need to show up this week. It's the toughest conference and has favorable draws. I can see OU, Baylor, Iowa State, and Kansas at least making the Sweet 16. I almost expect OSU, Texas, and West Virginia to lose in the first round tho.

If the conference does not perform well as a whole then the conference will be chastised. This will inevitably take away some of the Sooners' season accomplishments. Not good.

I'll be rooting for the big xii. If the big xii is the best conference doesn't that help draw the best players? Plus I have watched more big xii games than any other. I know the players and teams and will have more interest in those.

Was K State not invited to the NIT?? Was looking at the bracket and must say I am surprised.
