The 12/13 season could be pretty darned good with that group. Plus, if Coach Kruger were to sign 1 or 2 that could step in and help righ away, then things would really start looking up.

We'll still have Blair too, I think.
Yea I just feel possibly that we get someone at PG next year who is already going to be groomed (no pun intended) for as the PG of future behind Grooms, pushing Blair out. Merely speculative though. I don't dislike Blair as an improving back up PG. Back up.

That's the combined conference records of your projected 2012 lineup.

Osby's two years at Mississippi State (9-7 in the SEC both years) are the only two years any current OU player has ever experienced a winning record in an NCAA conference.

Everyone else has either zero experience, or has contributed to losing as a collegiate athlete.

Not that there's anything wrong with that going forward. I have high hopes for Mizzou in 2012, largely based on the projected contributions from Earnest Ross (10-22 in the SEC in two years at Auburn) and Keion Bell (13-29 conference record in three years at Pepperdine). It's obviously possible for talented players to fail to win in a bad situation and succeed in a new environment. Not like any of your players have played for a coach as accomplished as Kruger.

Not really trying to make a point. I read the top 4 prediction, felt like looking up how their teams finished in the past and thought I'd share the information.

So would RC cost us two years of scholarship? The one year he has to sit out plus the one year he can play? I am all for one /one but I don't know if it costs us two years.

If he were smart, he would go to Butler. They have a top notch program and he fits the kind of player they want perfectly. He would be a complimentary player at OU.

Seems like a no brainer to me.

Yes, it would take two years of scholarship. But if it's going to sit empty this year otherwise, what difference does it really make? Two extra semesters of tuition isn't going to break the Oklahoma athletic department.

not worried about the money, it's more about not being able to sign as many guys next year. It's like getting a one year juco player and adding that scholarship to the huge class we have to sign in two years.

He is worth 2 years of scholly to play 1! My gosh he is proven 43% 3-point shooter against big time D1 schools!

I don't see any difference than getting him for 1 year as a senior and getting a freshman who jumps for the NBA after 1 year. We have vacant scholarships this year so its use it or lose it for those and next year he will be put together with a veteran team.

I'd rather have that ship available in '13 anyways. TONS of talent in that class, and a lot of it is from OK/TX.

Think of it this way.....we can either have Clarke around as a redshirt senior in two years, ready to contribute on a senior-heavy team, or we can sign a frosh next year, and that kid can most likely sit on the bench behind all those older guys.
