Rumor???

The most physically ready to play player has not even stepped out on the court for the Sooners and is now exiting the campus. I can not understand the turnover each and every year. I have no idea whom to blame here.

He's still on the roster on soonersports.com, for whatever that is worth.

Interestingly, Abdi Ahmed, who last week was added back onto the roster, is now no longer there again. I wonder if he quit the team again.

Well, I've got your news

and the news is NOT good! If my source is right, (and they are close to the situation) TJ is indeed disgruntled. The word coming out of Dennison is he's evidently not happy and is wanting an immediate release/transfer. Plan is for him to be back in Dennison this week.

Word is he's already looked into potential places to land, and has his mind set on one in particular. Likely to have conversation with Capel immediately. Losing a good one in TJ! :facepalm

This also applies to the Ahmed news

Was Ahmed officially added to the roster??? I heard from a little birdy that he was back on campus and had to meet with Capel before being added to the roster

No idea, but he was added back to the roster on soonersports.com last week, and his name is now gone again. That is all I know.

How does one become "disgruntled" when they are physically unable to play? Or is that just a cover story?

This. i hope he isnt trying to be selfish & if he isnt ready to play with the concussion hopefullly he understands that.

so ahmed was un-homesick for like week and then re-homesicked?

Like I said, the plan was for him just to finish the semester so he could transfer elsewhere. Sad, but, now we just need to go get another big body.

There is obviously much more to the TJ Taylor situation than most of us know.

A concussion's do not last for an intire year!!I am no a doctor, but can figure that out..

For some reason my gut tells me grades have something to do with this.

I havent heard, seen, or have any reason to believe that is true. Thats just my gut feeling as to why TJ Taylor hasnt stepped on the court all year.

The drama from the last few years has been pretty juicy to say the least. I'd pay a healthy sum to know the parts of the iceberg below the surface surrounding these program debacles that we can only guess at.

A first semester freshman is automatically academically eligible though.

And Capel would have to be insane to look at our 1st semester schedule and look at a top 100 recruit and say "Yeah we can do without him till he proves himself in the classroom."

I just don't understand what is going on with all these players, I mean the ahmed guy maybe, but TJ? A good recruit that looks great on paper, and you're a coach with a history of players leaving your school and coming off a terrible season. The terrible season was made worse by an offseason of losing the key players that would make future seasons better. Can we not repeat the same mistakes? At this point whether it was the kid or Capel this is gonna fall on Capel's head because we know more about his history than a freshman's, he has to know that.

This is ridiculous.
