Rumor???

if he rly loves capel and it truly is personal problems maybe we can get him back after 2 yrs of juco.

I would think that if he goes to a JUCO this spring he could transfer to any D-1 school after that and be eligible to play at the end of the fall semester of 2011 as a freshman in eligibilty. Meaning he could play 3.5 years anywhere else since he didn't need to go JUCO because of academic eligibility.

Doubtful. If he goes JUCO then he should fall under the NCAA 4-2-4 rule.

The rule states that whenever a player transfers from a 4 year school to a 2 year school then he must earn his associates degree before he is eligible to transfer to another 4 year school.

Taylor can save a year of eligibility by redshirting. But no matter what he will still need that associates degree.

His best case scenario may be for him to attend a JUCO and sit out this spring semester. Then play one full season of JUCO ball next year and then transfer to a D1 program with 3 years of eligibility remaining.

i thought TJ was the college kid that was the biggest cheerleader on the bench ? at the ORU game the kid i am talking about was in grey sweatpants? who is this?

My first and only time on this site. I assure you I will be the most reliable source, on this site, on this topic and this topic only.

TJ was happy to be at OU. After Klein left, he didn't really have anyone else, coaching wise, he was close too. Then the concussion happened. He got the concussion and did not hear from anyone on the staff for over 6 hours, instead sat in his room alone. On top of that, he did not get to the doctor for another 2-3 days. Anyone that has had a concussion before knows that is crazy!

That is when it started to go downhill. He had and still has lingering effects from the concussion. He was medical redshirt. He was taken off the team text list and codes to go to the facilities were taken away also. That continued the downward spiral.

There are some things he did wrong at that point too. But all and all, it was a situation that both parties had lack of communication. Before leaving, he did say he is open to coming back to OU after a year in JuCo.

I guess Capel went to the Mike Leach school of concussion treatment.

So I guess Mr. Hale was somewhat accurate in his assessment.

So b/c of his concussion Capel decided to leave him off the team text list, and he wasnt allowed to be in certain places at LNC? No one on here is really buying this... are you? Please tell me a good reason why a kid who is hurt and is redshirting wouldnt still be a part of the program? If hes going to go to a JUCO and then might come back to OU, why would he leave. There are some serious holes to this story.

Has anyone been following football and concussions this past month. Wasn't it the cowboys TE who had to have his Helmet taken away from him and I also believe that Aaron Rodgers wasn't allowed to be at the stadium this week.

So if he is suffering from concussion depression, not allowing him into LNC would make sense. He is a basketball player...I'm sure they wanted him to not be in the gym shooting, etc...

As I am typing this, I am watching a report on concussions on ESPN. So trying to keep his mind off of basketball while he is going thru this makes sense...also by not texting him and keeping him out of certain parts of the gym.

I can understand that. But, the post I was responding to said those were reasons why he left. So, this helps my point even more. I want to know what the "things he did wrong" were and I am betting thats the reason why he is no longer on the team.

Besides that point, if the allegations that Capel and the medical staff left him alone for 6 hours. Then OU bball staff didnt let him see a doctor for 2-3 days after a concussion are true, majority of this board would be happy b/c Capel would be gone.

left alone for 6 hours...I doubt he was by himself for 6 hours.
2-3 days....Which was it....2 or 3 days????

These are statements that are stretching the truth. They didn't let him see a doctor, give me a break. 1st, they pay thousands of dollars to have professional trainers their and they can tell if a kid has a concussion. Trainers will advise these kids whether they need to go see a doctor. They monitor these kids. 2nd, If he wanted to go see a doctor, then he could drive himself or have someone take him to see a doctor. I've rolled my ankle in practice..trainer told me it was a sprain...drove myself to the doctor...doctor told me it was sprain.

That kid from T.T. that got leach fired. Being locked in a shed during practice. Lets just say that the kid was in the shed during practice. They make it sound like the kid was in the shed for hours upon hours. Just how long does a practice last???

I just think this is just a case where a kid wanted to transfer. the end..

TJ = Marcus Dupree II

That is outrageous arrogance. TJ never played a game or did anything. Dupree showed what he could do at least and then left.

I am over this whole deal TJ is gone, we can all say, o what he could have been, but who cares he wasn't. He never stepped foot on the floor and showed us what he can do for this team. I also understand his injury prevented him from showing everyone, but thats part of life. Yeah he was good in high school but college is different. I don't want to hear that he goes to juco and then we try to get him to come back here, because he is not the type of player I want. He quit and what is to say he won't do that again.
