Saw something I have never seen in the game

The game was over and OU went to foul for the last time and an OSU player stepped in the OU players way and lowered a shoulder. He did nit hit him hard but it stoped the OU player from Fouling. First off should have been a moving screen but I don't think I have ever seem someone other then the person with the ball try to stop the opposing team from fouling at the end of the game.
