6'10 Sean Young of Bixby is supposedly getting recruited by quite a few d-1 schools, and I don't get it. I played against this kid in 7th 8th and 9th grade and he is just an average high school player. He can't score at all. He is an average rebounder and a good shot blocker. But IMHO he's very overrated

Average HS post at 6'10 with decent athleticism is almost always more heavily recruited than skilled 6'6-6'7 post type players.

It's the 6'10. Not many guys are 6'10.

I don't think this guy is this stupid. It's not possible.

You have been around message boards long enough to know that's not true

Yeah, I shouldn't be so harsh. Catoosa...what's one of the main reasons OU struggles? Would you say that one of the problems is a lack of size? Agile 6-10 guys aren't easy to find. When I was in HS I played against a guy named Jack Marlow (Tulsa Union)...I thought he was average but I also knew that since he was 6'11-7'0 he would get D-1 offers. It's not rocket science. 5'10-6'6 players are a dime a dozen.

Please don't bring up Jack Marlow again. Those of us in South Tulsa tried to forget that name long ago.

He wasn't the best post player on his own high school team until his senior season. Eddie fell in love with him because he looked like Fat Coutnry.

Young is a good athlete for his size, he does need to work on his offensive skills though.

Sean Young is not really not worth a thread. I'm not going to say anything bad about the kid, but he's not of the level to be talked about as a serious prospect.

Tried to tell you Sean Young wasn't a good ball player

Catoosa knows these guys aren't any good. He's doing this for his own entertainment.
