Shaina Pellington Canada PG

You dont suppose that she's anything like the last guard we got from Canada, do you?

In watching the video, I didn't get a feel for her shooting touch. The stats seem to make her out to be about 35% from three. The only thing that I noticed was that she appeared to be faster than the other players, and she used it to get to the rim and to stay in front when on defense. I didn't get a feel for hand speed.

It was hard to evaluate her from the video that I saw. She must be semi athletic to be on the National team. Hopefully we got a steal.

I took a little time and a second video came up.

The first one showed some quickness and court vision. No hint of shooting touch. I was thinking another Titi Edwards.

Second one quite difference. Couple of nice outside shots and good overall offensive game and a lot of steals on defense.

Hard to evaluate because it was hard to evaluate the competition. Could be a good sleeper prospect. Was hoping for a higher rated recruit to go with Llanusa.

On July 30, 2016, Team Ontario U17s completed their undefeated Canadian Nationals tournament run with a 76-53 win over Team Quebec and earned the gold medal in Regina, SK.

This year’s number of Canadian Teams at the 2016 Nike Chicago Tournament of Champions was pared down considerably compared to last year. Regardless, there was quite a bit to take in when the Canadians to to the courts in their games.

You wonder with all those accolades including MVP of the Canadian tourney why she was coming off the bench in the final game. Particularly with her performance in earlier games in the tournament.

Sherri may have picked up a gem here but I am disappointed that we only got Llanusa from a stellar Oklahoma-North Texas group.

I agree, I hope the two northern girls are good gets but it's sad that Coale can't sign the same/better players within two hours of campus.

Pellington may be as good as any guard out there not named Evina. Let's see what she has before we express disappointment.

In looking at some of the sites listed above, I have seen her height as:
5' 6" 7" 8" 9" I hope she is at least 5'7"
