I have to see Trier play in a system on a team. Doesn't mean he can't, I just have to see it.
Shake can score the ball well too, the only reason he doesn't is he doesn't take near the shots that Trier does.
I am going to get killed here but I think Shake is the better player down the road and it is pretty even right now. They just do two different things on the court. (They would be a great compliment to each other)
This isn't knocking Trier down, just I think Shake is very under rated. From what I am hearing, KU is trying to decide between Shake an another kid. Sounds like OU could lose another in state kid.
I am not sure I completely agree with Trier is the better player. He is a volume scorer and that gets the attention. I know they went up some but through the first 9 games of EYBL Trier had 0.9 assists and is considered a point guard. I know pg don't have to be passers though, so don't think I am saying he should average more.
Different players, have seen both and I know I am against the mold when I say I don't see a big difference in the two, I also think Shake has a much higher ceiling.
Make note though, I think OU could get both that would be great. I still don't think that would happen. Too bad Shake didn't like his experience last year on A1, could be playing together now.
