Shake Milton

Milton apparently had a big weekend at an AAU deal in Dallas this weekend per Eric Bossi/Rivals. Bossi said he'll definitely be making an appearance in their next set of rankings.

This may or may not be new, but in addition to offers from OU and OSU, he has an offer from SMU now.

OU is sitting good I believe.

I feel good about this kid. If he said yes today, I'd be cool with him being the only guard in this class.

Also with Matt Mcquaid committing to SMU that has to help

Ouch.

Might not hurt our chances that much, since I think he'd like to stay closer to home, but I always prefer the "big boys" stay away.

Hopefully IU being down compared to their high standards lately will help make them less appealing.

The 247sports offer list for Shake, plus an interesting prediction]

I mean, it's a good sign that Evan's is 17/19 on predictions for 2015, but I'm not going to get excited until either Jerry Meyers predicts OU or until he commits.... the battle for Shake is long from over

I know I am in the minority here but I take Shake all day every day over Trier.

Will be a huge get if LK and Crutch can real him in.

He will slide into a system easily and fit in well. He doesn't have to dominate the ball or get volume shots. His ceiling is CRAZY HIGH

If you can get both, GREAT. I don't think they would sign together.

If you can't, then I would take Shake.

i think i agree.. its kinda Stevie Clark vs Woodard again.. minus Clark's character issues

Trier is the sexy pick.. but i think Shake would be the smart one.. ill take both tho! :D

trier is the better player ... would love for OU to get both ... that would be a sick back court ..

You guys are on the right track. Trier is hands down the better player, maybe one or 2 and then into the league.
Shake is a 4 year guy.

I think our chances are equal to landing them... Trier is a HUGE fish, Shake is a BIG fish... Trier comes in and would be our leading scorer. (I know i'll get killed for saying that) but its true. The best scorer in this class.

Shake is along the Buddy mold. Probably a better scorer overall. I think both come in and start right away.

I have to see Trier play in a system on a team. Doesn't mean he can't, I just have to see it.

Shake can score the ball well too, the only reason he doesn't is he doesn't take near the shots that Trier does.

I am going to get killed here but I think Shake is the better player down the road and it is pretty even right now. They just do two different things on the court. (They would be a great compliment to each other)

This isn't knocking Trier down, just I think Shake is very under rated. From what I am hearing, KU is trying to decide between Shake an another kid. Sounds like OU could lose another in state kid.

I am not sure I completely agree with Trier is the better player. He is a volume scorer and that gets the attention. I know they went up some but through the first 9 games of EYBL Trier had 0.9 assists and is considered a point guard. I know pg don't have to be passers though, so don't think I am saying he should average more.

Different players, have seen both and I know I am against the mold when I say I don't see a big difference in the two, I also think Shake has a much higher ceiling.

Make note though, I think OU could get both that would be great. I still don't think that would happen. Too bad Shake didn't like his experience last year on A1, could be playing together now.

Zo's role isn't pass the ball on A1. It's not even close bw the players. They are so different. I know you love shake but Zo is head and shoulders better.

You are way off base here. Everyone in the country will disagree with you. Shake would even disagree. Zo is a 2 yr max in college, shake is a 4yr guy.

I want them both, but Zo is clearly the better player.

That is fine. I stated some would not agree with me.

It is an opinion deal. Trier is almost a year older too so in reality Shake is a grade behind him. Will see if he can make a jump and catch up. I wonder what he would average if he shot the ball as many times. Just curious. He is a very efficient scorer.

I guess we will see in 2 years if Zo is gone to the league. That would be great for him. As I said, I am not knocking Zo.

It wouldn't be the first time everyone in the country disagreed with me. I would be shocked if a player like Shake said that someone else is head and shoulders better than him.

I do think they play different positions. I still think Shake is a PG. He is averaging over 4 assists a game.

To be fair, you said you saw Zo less than a full year ago, and you said he wasn't even OU worthy. I found that comment a couple of weeks ago, while digging back through some old threads looking for something else.

Opinions vary. Kids have good and bad stretches of play. Some develop sooner/later. Time will tell, but the truth is, nobody on this board has seen either of them enough to probably make a definitive statement, but brettromar has probably seen Shake more than any of us.

I said he wasn't worthy? Find that one again, I'd like read what I was talking about!
I didn't think OU had much of a shot but things change..
