Shake Milton

I said he wasn't worthy? Find that one again, I'd like read what I was talking about!
I didn't think OU had much of a shot but things change..

Zo Trier- No thanks. Wasn't even best guard at Camp. Head case. Zero defense

Me saying you said he wasn't worthy probably wasn't accurate, but you didn't seem interested in having him at OU. That was about 10 months ago.

Just pointing out that stuff changes pretty quickly in the recruiting game. And based on those last ESPN rankings, I wouldn't expect to see a huge difference in the two players. At least, according to those rankings.

Hope we land them both.

I have known Shake and his family, mostly his deceased father for a long time. I am probably biased.

I watched zo for the previous two years but as you said with Coach, I haven't seen him in person since he left so over a year.

A lot can change, that is why I say I have to see him play in a system. To me he was much like Clark and Collins. Guys who dominate the ball and are very much one on one guys. I have to see them fit in a college system first. Zo might be that guy and might be 1 and done or 2. I didn't see that before, but like WT said, that easily could have changed.

I just think Shake is under appreciated and that is changing some this summer. Indiana offered and KU is down to him and another guy for an offer. He is a PG in my coaching opinion. If Bill asked me where I would play him and recruit him, I would tell him point guard. That means the two are completely different.

Shake averaged 30 this year, he is averaging 11.6 over 4 assists and 5 rebs a game in the summer. He had 21 last game on 6 fg attempts. He is so efficient, so if he shot the ball close to 20 times a game, what would he average. I think he would be one of the top scorers in the EYBL.

Once again, not knocking Trier at all, as a coach, I don't see that big of a difference between the two because of their differing style, age difference and ceiling for each.

As we have said, all opinions here so no one is wrong.

One of the ESPN guys has been raving about Shake as a pg. I saw that on twitter. A long name, can't remember the guy though.

I must have been having a bad day! lol...
Youre right things do change, my position has changed...

Once you learn more about a kid, things look different.

And don't get me wrong... I want both just as bad as I want one of them!

I've said previously that I think Zo starts from day one... and possibly Shake as well. And that would mean, Jordan or Cousins goes to the bench as a JR and Sr respectively...

When Shake was paired with Jaylen Lowe at Owasso 2 years ago, they were a pretty dynamic duo and Owasso probably should've won 6A. They lost in OT to Jordan Woodard and Edmond Memorial in the semis after leading the game late. Last season Owasso lived and died by Shake and he was able to carry the team for most of the year until fading late. Shake can do it all and is very good at most everything. Shake is smooth. I don't know if he will end up at OU, but my daughter seems to think he won't. She's a trainer for the athletic department. But things can change, and I haven't asked her about him since the end of basketball season. I'd like to see him end up in Norman, but if not, I hope he lights it up wherever he goes. I think he's underrated.

Seems like the type of player who can put up 15 pts, 5 rebs, 4 assts in a game and no one realize it.

The OU coaches actually feel like they lead on Milton. Kansas has been sniffing
around but have not offered

Just for what it is worth, a buddy of mine who is involved in the Owasso hoops scene stated that OU leads with Milton. That was around a month ago. Sure hope Lon can land him. He seems like a great kid.

That is good news. The coaches at Owasso don't think OU leads.

Hope OU gets him. Crutch has worked hard on this one.

If OU wins out, I think that means Mom wins out.

Update from a couple days ago on the KU Rivals site says that he told him he has serious interest in Kansas. But I don't think they've offered yet.

Anyone heard anything lately? OU still have a good shot if KU offered?
