Both should be starting and playing 30 minutes a game the rest of the way.

I would be playing McNeace every single available minute for the rest of the year. Only coming out when he is too tired or has fouled out.

Shepherd is probably less important for this type of deal, but totally agree on McNeace.

They can only get better. Disappointed Sheppard played as many minutes tonight without an assist.

Lattin is what he is, he's as good as he's going to be.

McNease has improved a ton this year, he appears to have way more upside at this point.

I'd play Jumani and roll with it.

Shepherd needs to play 30 minutes.

I agree about Shepherd. I feel so much more confident with him in the game than do Strong-Moore.

McNease still has a lot of refining to do, but man do I like his upside. I think he is gonna break-out next year.

I didn't get to watch the game yet, because I was helping coach my 4th grade grandson's practice. I did look at the stat line and saw where McNeace had 4 points and 1 rebound. Lattin had 3 points and 6 rebounds. They each had 1 block.

What did "money" do tonight that was special?

He had 2 really bad shots and missed a gimme reverse layup. The worst part is as soon as he releases the shot he thinks it's going in so he goes down the floor. Instead, he has to be taught to follow his shot.

Other than that, he had a block shot or 2. Lattin had a few as well. Lattin was clearly the better rebounder but Lattin continues to make dumb play after dumb play.

I don't think I've ever seen a big man catch it on the block and shoot turn around jump shots like Lattin does nearly ever single time. Does he have ANY low post game at all? Why even throw it to him down there? It's maddening.

He's the Tim McCallister of post men. He's never seen a shot he doesn't like. He's like a black hole, throw the ball to him and never see it again.

You clearly don't remember Jeff Webster ;-) but man that thing was lethal!!

Lattin WILL lose his starting spot by next season . He's a one trick pony , and a dumb player on top of it .
McNease gets better every game , and actually has an all around game .

McNeace takes some really dumb shots and he never follows any of his shots. He should play but not 30 minutes a game.

MCNease is shooting 55% for the season , by far highest on the team . Sometimes I wonder if people even watch the games .
Shot selection /offensive game is McNeases strongest ability .
He's the only post we have who can score on the block.

I hope Strong-Moore transfers. I'm sure Lon can find a grad transfer or someone in the late signing period like another Shepherd. The point guard position is in good hands with Young and Shepherd.

Lattin is a better rebounder, I'll give you that. But, aside from an occasional twelve to fifteen jump shot or a put back or lob, he offers very little on offense. My biggest gripe with Khadeem is that he continues to hurt the team with the same poor decisions and silly fouls one would expect to see from a freshman, not an experienced junior who has started every game of his career. He gave up a crucial rebound in the final minutes last night on a missed Baylor free throw, because he plays soft and he still hasn't learned to box out.

McNeace makes mistakes, too. But, he gives the team a scoring threat in the post we don't get from Lattin. He is also getting better with every outing. Khadeem seems to be going in the other direction.

lattin is also a much better defender ...

:facepalm

I wonder the same thing because if you watched it you surely saw him take a 12-14 foot one handed jumper with about 8 minutes left in the game. It looked like a shot-put attempt. :facepalm Prior to that he had a sweet reverse layup which he missed, but he didn't follow his shot. The ball came right back to where he finished the layup but he thinks it's going in and runs back down the court. All he had to do is stop under the goal and then put the ball back in the basket. :facepalm I learned to follow my shot in 6th grade.

Neither player is great but I agree McNeace brings more scoring power thanks to the hook. He HAS to learn how to rebound AND how to go up strong. A few times he had the ball down low last night and should have tried to take it up 2 handed and flush it. Instead he threw the ball back out of the middle so we could attempt another jumpshot. He also needs to learn that when he's outside the 8 foot range he needs to pass it back out because chances are he's not going to make it especially if he doesn't do the hook. That one handed shot-put crap just won't cut it. Remember the game earlier in the season where he tried the clown-shot, which was a one handed baseball shot that sort of resembled a hook shot and a reverse layup except he was about 8 feet from the goal?

The shot-put coincided with his exit from the game and let's just call it like it is, he wasn't rebounding. Lattin was at least rebounding somewhat. Again, neither are great but we NEEDED rebounds last night. If you watched the first part of the game, we had ZERO offensive rebounds until Lattin re-entered the game at about the 10-12 minute mark of the first half.

Lattin had 6 rebounds to Jamuni's 1.

Not every senior has by far their best year as a senior but what if you gave up on these guys because they had not shown you enough.
