Usually, this type of anger revolves around some personal issues, like you suspect his character rather than his competence?

Jeff likely has a fine character. His incompetence is obvious for all to see.

For 35 years, I looked forward all year long to the start of the next OU basketball season. For me, it was fun. It was enjoyable and interesting. I had a group of friends that went to games with me, and we traveled to Kansas City for the conference tournament almost every year for more than 25 years.

Well, that is gone. Now my friends (all big basketball fans) always have an excuse as to why they cannot go to the games. What was fun for decades, is now ... nothing. zero.

This has come about because our basketball program has become a joke under Capel's management. I am mad. I am pissed off. Something I loved and enjoyed has been destroyed, and it is obvious that it will not come back next season.

I am also disappointed that I am losing interest in OU basketball. I did not believe this was possible. Right or wrong, I blame Capel.

You took it out of context. To understand the statement one needs to read the sentence before the statement was made to understand the context.

As of right now we have noone signed that is a program changer.

No where near to signing any top 40 recruits.

Maybe in 2012 we get tge guys we want, but this year I don't disagree with his statement....no highly talented guys are coming any were near norman

How could we be worse off. Jeff has turned longtime solid fans into spectators with complete apathy. And believe me, there are many like me, except they do not look at message boards.

Seats near mine that were filled for 30 years are now empty. I just hope a new coach can bring these fans back. Given the level of disgust, they may be gone for good. Jeff may have made us all TV fans.

It is hard enough watching that nonsense on TV. I can imagine what it is like to watch that rubbish in person. If Joe doesn't make the right decision this time around, the TV fans will start flipping the channel.

Watching Jeff's team grab only ONE offensive rebound in 40 minutes against Texas was painful. That PATHETIC effort on the offensive glass by the Sooners last night should have been the last straw for Joe. At halftime Joe should have grabbed Knight and told him Jeff needed some assistance in the locker room.
