Smart and Forte commit to OSU

They have a 6'4" kid named Adam Wing coming in next year. This year they have Cezar Guerrero coming in.

Having some of the nicest new facilities in the country and having LeBryan Nash on campus probably helped a little bit. Forte said he loved how OSU used Page and knew he would fit in at OSU after seeing Page out there.

I've heard from a lot of people that they have built a top 5 basketball facility.

If they can keep Nash more than a year...they will have a solid team

They are, and I not exaggerating, about twice as talented as OU is right now, if not more. If you count 2012 recruits, they are more than that.

On que ... the bigOSU puffing up aggy in the off season. It's an annual occurrence. They suck, their coach sucks and we will beat them this coming season. We hear this every year from thebigOSU. The fake OU fan. He's right up there with cheno.

Lebryan Nash > Anyone on OU's roster
Marcus Smart > Anyone on OU's roster
Forte AND Guerrero > Any PG on OU's Roster
Jurick > Any center on OU's roster
Markel Brown/JP Olukemi > Any SG on OU's roster

Is that even debatable?

Forte and Jurick are unknowns. Other than that, I probably agree with you.

Of course it's debatable. You list a bunch of unknowns who have never played a game. When they do play they will be coached by hillbilly ford, hands down the worst coach in the league. He was even the worst before OU fired Capel.

Any recruit that picks OSU has some flaw. There is a very high chance all of the players listed above will be total busts. You're wrong every year bigOSU and this year will be no different.

Any recruit that picks OSU has some flaw.

1.) Fantastic athletic facilities
2.) Great home arena
3.) Winning tradition

Whats the problem?

When they do play they will be coached by hillbilly ford, hands down the worst coach in the league. He was even the worst before OU fired Capel.

His teams at OSU have always had some kind of major flaw, until now. In the past they were tiny, had no post game. Then last year they didnt have a single guy who could shoot a 3.

They have fixed those problems with outstanding recruiting, and should put a very quality team on the floor this year, and be even better next year.

I haven't followed the debate, but what it boiled down for OSU was Forte wasn't a throw in player in the ordeal like he was at other schools. Travis Ford really likes guard like Forte, Stevie Clark and Keiton Page. OU had lead for both. The Sooners liked Smart more as a pg and felt Forte could evolve into that role in a few year. OSU sees Forte as the pg of the future.

Another consideration that may also need to be looked at is how Caesar Guerrero progresses. Guerrero has struggled so far and the coaching staff hasn't been pleased to my understanding. If he doesn't have a good year, he could possibly be a transfer.

Either this is some kind of poor attempt at an internet comedy routine or you are so consumed with silly sports hate that you cannot think straight.

I think Lon Kruger is a great pick for OU, very solid coach and seems like a real decent person. But anyone who thinks Coach Kruger isn't going to have a couple of up and down years rebuilding the mess Capel left is not living in reality.

Personally I think Ford has done well considering he didn't walk into the best of situations himself. Recruiting is moving in the right direction and this will be Fords deepest team since he arrived.

OU fans need to give Kruger some time you've got a coach who can turn it around but anyone who thinks OU will put as much talent on the court as OSU this year is not being objective.

I have heard this also, and it seems interesting that he is struggling. My sources tell me that he has the skill but has to adjust to the athletes at this level. I'm hearing Fred Gulley and Markel Brown are all over him in practice. Those two guys are decent defenders hopefully this makes Cezar work extra hard..

I don't know where you guys are getting this info on Guerrero but it's not true. Sounds more like wishful thinking.

The coaches are very happy with Caesar. He has several more experienced guys in front of him so he's not looking at getting many minutes in the beginning. But he should be able to work his way into the rotation more as his experience increases.

He is already one of the best three point shooters on the team.

Pretty sure StinkyPete is an O-State fan. And William Jennings' track record speaks for itself.

I don't care if someone is an OSU fan or some kind of insider.

I got my info from a player, not second hand. One of the players on the team is from my home town.

Obviously the coaches are not involved in the pick up games but I do know Caesar has been working the program very hard and the coaches are getting good reports from the strength and conditioning staff and the other players.

I think these types of reports on new guys are 99% speculation there is no way to know this early how this kid is going to do and to say he will probably transfer before he even gets started is ridiculous.

I can tell you from one of the veterans on the team this is the best he's ever felt about an upcoming season.

Wishful thinking on the part Will, Stinky is speculating at best, not sure about his OSU fan credentials. With a name like StinkyPete I smell a rat.

Since the coaches aren't allowed to watch the players and the players that do play with the newbies report all is well. I can only conclude there is some kind of agenda to report negative information about a player OU was disappointed they didn't get.

guerrero is an incoming freshman who wasn't highly recruited to being with... was he really expected to be the point guard savior this season??? give him time and im sure he'll be a fine player...
